She was born into a loving, relatively impoverished family. Her mother an unemployed writer, and her father a sporadically employed mechanic. For the most part, her early life was sporadic and tumultuous. But what mattered the most to her was that they were happy, they all were. It wasn't until her tenth year of life when she was doing a genealogy project that she discerned something most peculiar. Her family were direct descendants of a man with the peculiar name of Nicolas Flamel. A rumored alchemist, practitioner of the arcane arts, a man who was both respected and feared alike. But what struck her most was that of the Alchemy. Research through tomes in libraries eventually descended down into her family's basement to old and dusty novels that brought to light a talent that her mother and father never took the time to understand. A talent that hadn't been seen for centuries. In a flash of light one night, during her fourteenth year of life. Natalie performed alchemy upon herself. Having carefully deciphered, read, and understood the doctrine that had been set forth in legends years and years ago. She turned herself into a Philosopher's Stone. A conduit for Alchemy, able to perform the act of breaking something down to it's chemical components and reassembling them as she sees fit. (There's a snapback cost. Using it in too severe a scale will slightly weaken her. i.e. alchemically creating a castle using the ground/dirt as materials. Or, in the instance that she tries to make something that she doesn't have enough resources for, she gets injured as a result. i.e. the Alchemy uses her life force if she doesn't have enough material to create something fully.) Destroy something, and then recreate it in her vision. She awoke hours later in the midst of the original circle that she had drawn and instead her eyes momentarily glowered with a crimson light before returning to the brilliance of sapphires that she had grown with. Across her shoulders, arms, and back were etched intricate alchemic markings. Redressing quickly, she emerged back with her family and acted as if nothing had happened at all, even though they had heard a commotion in the basement. They wouldn't know, she wouldn't let them know about her Alchemy. Weeks later, she received a letter to a prestigious private school. To which also came with a fully paid tuition. Seeing an incredible opportunity for their child in such a wayward school, her two parents shipped her off quickly as they could. Personality: Calm, collected, but passionate at times. Brilliantly intellectual, with a love for literature.
