[h3][color=c8a2c8]Appearance[/color][/h3]Short, dainty and almost elfin with cheerful and pretty features. Aveline is still quite young – only twenty-four – and it shows. She has dark brown (almost black) eyes; uninspired brown hair often unstylishly pulled up into a ponytail; and, of course, her characteristic pale, porcelain skin.
[h3][color=c8a2c8]Ability / [u]Power[/u] / Creature[/color][/h3]Aveline's power is simple – it's telepathy. She can hear the thoughts of others racing through her mind as if they were her own. People don't often think in terms of language, only in colours and pictures, but she understands the full meaning of what she intercepts which has led to her reputation for having "eyes on the back of her head" as a teacher.

She can also talk to people through her mind, which is nice, though she's been forbidden to do so by the Headmistress except in extreme cases or for helping her protege, Jamie, to control his powers, which are similar. Prolonged use gives her incredibly painful headaches, as does delving deep into someone's innermost memories.
[h3][color=c8a2c8]Personality[/color][/h3]Kind, calm and quiet, Aveline is the type of person you'd least expect to be a teacher. She does well in subjects like Home Economics that require 'friendly' teaching, more supervision than anything else, but above all else she chose it because it was one where she was not aided by her telepathic ability. While Aveline is smart, she knows that most if not all of it is down to her 'superpower' but she is so painfully honest that it seems like cheating to use it in general life.

Aveline is a surprisingly adept liar, able to keep the hurt from showing on her face as people think bad things about her. While she is shy herself and is almost expected to like the underdogs in her class (the equally silent folk who don't speak up) she finds herself doting on a number of students with a wide variety of personalities – those that she can sense are pure and good. If she lacks confidence, and is scared of her mother, well... there's a bunch of rumours floating about the school to explain that.
[h3][color=c8a2c8]Biography[/color][/h3]Not much is known about Aveline, no matter how open she is with her older students as to her 'sordid past' as she calls it. She attended Northwood, conveniently both the Headmistress's daughter and school valedictorian, and then went on to attend a culinary school out of state. Her entire paternal line is unknown to her, and the only family she knows of is her mother...

Which she feels is unfortunate, but she'll never admit that.

Aveline tends to be one of the teachers who is assigned as a counselor of sorts to those who have abilities, ensuring that they don't speak of them past their first year but still have someone to talk to about any issues they have. Generally she has been given the go-ahead to help out Jamie, who is her favourite little student.
