A man walked through a canyon far on the edges of the known world, and high in the mountains. He wore a thick cloak with fur trim that was white with black speckles. He walked along a path that was deep with snow, and with every step there came the crunch of snow. As he walked up this path a vision of the past came to him from a time that seemed to have never existed it was so long ago.
”Drako, these people, they are evil beyond even that of those who have come before them.” Hal said concerning a group of people that had been causing trouble throughout the land. “Yes, they are indeed. Why don’t we just end them and rid the world of them?” Darko suggested. Knowing that would be the end of it and the people would never have to see the likes of them again. “I agree, but they need to be punished. As we have honor and serve no god, and fear not even death. To just kill them would be a release rather than a punishment.” “We could banish them, never to rest. They would be without body or soul yet be forced to exist ‘til the end of time.” Darko knew this would be the best way to punish them as they would never find peace. “We could then lock them in a tomb never to touch the mortal world again. “Yes. They would be sealed away to watch the world, but never again leave their prison.”
The man knew the ancient ruins were decreed to be a no man’s land, and that anyone caught there by the centaur guardians, placed there by Hal-Reftar, would be killed on sight. He didn’t care, and in fact he counted on meeting them just to send Hal a message that he would never understand until it was too late. Reaching an opening in the canyon he found a cleft to sit in and wait a while before continuing on to reach the sacred prison of the savage army known now as mørke legion. Sitting in his spot the man thought a moment on his plan and how it would require speed yet tact if he is to succeed in raising this army. As much as he hated it he would need the help of one of his closest allies, but he must never learn of his full plan lest he be turned against him and stop him before The End has come. The man's attention was broken and turned towards the heavens where a light so bright and brilliant could be seen. This light was not like any star seen before; it was not constant, but instead it fluctuated and pulsed before ending in a wave like ring the dispersed to the end of the sky. "So it has come... I must reach the prison before too much more happens up there." at this the man stood and continued on his way up the mountain. They continued to give offerings, song and dance to the gods in hopes of pleasing them while also hoping for a chance to be chosen as their champion.
