Harry's already mentioned bandits a couple of times, it's possible that your character could be one of them and Has'la manages to talk them into turning on their comrades.

Just had a flashback to the [i]Firefl[/i]y episode 'Out of Gas' where Mal talks Jayne into shooting his two comrades with the promise of his own bunk. XD
