Any Skydivers?

As the topic suggests, just wondering if anyone here partakes in any skydiving at all. This being anything from just one tandem, or learning to jump, or being experienced. I'm currently doing RAPS in the UK- just wondering if there are any other RPers in the sport (as I do remember a few years back there was someone I was RPing with that was involved, I cannot remember the name).

I *almost* did a little, but wound up doing gliders instead. The jumpers always scared the shit out of me because they're falling through/near our landing pattern.

Indeed we do. Downwind, crosswind, upwind...yep.

They would. Sounds awesome man- wherabouts did/are you serving?

My first jump is one that still sticks with me. I've done 16 static lines now (and hopefully, will move onto freefall very shortly), but my first was one I still laugh at. Redlands DZ has a small landing area, and basically, thanks to what must have been a dead wind, I ended up landing in a four foot thorny hedge :D Haven't had a bad landing since, lool.
