North wasn’t so much eating his breakfast, as he was pushing it around with the fork in his hands, his appetite unusually absent. He didn’t eat as much as his sister, but he liked to have regular meal times. He hadn't slept well the night before, which is what he put down to the odd lack of hunger. It had been too quiet. It was odd how accustomed he’d become to the sound of someone sleeping in the same room as him. And so to have that presence gone made for an unsettling silence that had him up for a majority of the night. He had considered going to check on Cal but it was still a little early and he figured that he could use the rest. He hoped the others would be up soon, it was always a more calming environment when they were all together, even though that usually only happened around meals and missions, one of which was not a very settling experience at all. Cal’s still whispered quietly in his head, giving North some unsettling shivers. The idea that there were ulterior motives behind all of this brought up too many questions that he was willing to admit he was worried about finding out the answers to. What had he and his sister really gotten themselves into?
