Eliza Brindelwood Gym Just listen to the music she thought to herself as she stood alone in one of the dance practice rooms in the gym. The soulful tug of strings and movement of fingers across a piano rushed over her as she gently closed her eyes and began to dance slowly, moving in slow, small movements. She spun around in a pirouette and bowed down into a graceful dip as the song dipped as well into a diminuendo. She pointed her toes and spun about the floor, leaping and skipping in a graceful motion that most would mistake for dancing. As the music picked up to a livelier beat, she began to laugh and spun around the floor even faster. There was a reason for dancing today. She had just been told that they had found a match for her. She was so excited, but she didn't want to seem too desperate or too hasty, so she decided to go to the gym rather than heading straight to the Match Office. You need to go after this song, though she told herself as she spun from one corner of the small room to the next. She smiled and flipped her hair, uncovering her pointed ears. The dark brown strands danced with her as the music slowed and she finished off with a graceful bow to the front of the room, to the mirrors that showed her every movement. She smiled at herself in the mirror once before walking over to her bag and hiking it up close around her shoulder. She then hurried down to the match office, becoming invisible to the public eye once more as she maneuvered easily around people. She got to the Match Office just in time to see two boys being Matched off. She stared in wonder, curious on how they were feeling, before she sat down gently in one of the waiting chairs. She flipped open her journal and began to write, waiting to be called upon to meet her Match.
