Ability: What makes Tobias unique, apart from being exceptionally intelligent when it comes to mechanics and engineering, is the fact that he is essentially a living dynamo- he can produce electricity from his body to a seemingly infinite amount, although the more he makes the less control he has over it. While he mostly uses it to power his personal inventions, if pressed he can also throw caution to the winds and hurl raw lightning at people.

Biography: Tobias was born in England, where his family can trace their roots back to the 1500s. Growing up near Manchester meant he was consistently exposed to industry and machinery, and he took to those concepts like a moth to a flame. The way steel gears and iron bars fit together and were brought to life fascinated him, so much so that he spent most of his childhood taking apart the toy trains and reassembling them rather than playing with them. Eventually, he moved on to mixing the train parts to make better trains. From there, he steadily moved up. Guitars, stereos, typewriters, and cars as a matter of course. As he progressed into early High School, he even started inventing devices of his own. But, at some point, he hit a wall; there simply wasn't a way to feasibly supply some of his devices with power. It tormented him, thinking about his inability to progress because of such a menial detail. But then, one day, something happened. One of his homemade machines came to life when he touched it. While it wasn't connected to any source of electricity. Curious, he tried it with another invention- it whirred and clicked as he envisioned it as well. Further experimentation and theorizing on his part led to one, singular conclusion; he had somehow become able to generate electricity of his own accord. Further reinforcement was provided a short time later, when the oddest of letters arrived in the mail. Supposedly it was for an American Academy that catered to those of "Unique and potent talents". Why were they addressing him now, when he'd been in High School for 2 years already? Good question. Still, they were offering to pave him through to what could potentially turn into a full ride to a prestigious University- who was he to say no? 

That said, his new transfer means he knows next to nobody and he has no idea why the school has such a suspicious air about it...

Personality: Remember that one kid who was the go-to expert on all things mechanical or technological in school? Tobias is that guy. He's not a nerd, in the typical sense. What he is is a borderline mad scientist with mechanical concepts. As such, he tends to be incredibly confident in most things, even outside his expertise. Though some might perceive it as arrogance, he doesn't quite go that far. The best summation would be to say he's good at what he does, and he knows it.
