Makoto awoke to the smell of eggs and was sitting up among the blanket that Phoebe had provided for her when Phoebe entered the room.

Despite the comfortable surface to sleep on Makoto's night was filled with tossing and nightmares. They spanned from her failing exams to simply being restrained and forced to watch the Academy fall. It was surreal but Makoto was already beginning to adjust to the new reality, already onto the 'what next?'. She recalled that she hadn't seen Katherin but from Phoebe she had found out that the cold wielder was at the scene shortly after the collapse. Makoto resolved to calling her after breakfast.
