[/quote]I pretty much used the pencil tool of Photoshop but really, you can just use Paint on your computer for the same effect.
We carefully drew these lines by hand and the use of a mouse. Nothing complex about it.
As for drawing borders I suggest using your common sense.
Country limits are typically drawn at natural borders. Large bodies of water, thin crossings or mountain chains all offer such use. Also try to make the borders look less orderly because otherwise it'd loose its sense of authenticity.
That's all.
Oh and check all previous territory claims and try to make sure your claim won't overlap with those.
