Name: Joesph Stein 
Age: 19
Personality: Having essentially needing to do plenty to help his single mom raise his two younger brothers and two younger sisters.  Joesph has always been a kind soul who puts others ahead of him.  He doesn't possess many things but doesn't feel like he has too, a lot of times giving gifts back or to someone he felt deserved it more.  The young man wants to make the world a better place than when he first came into it.

When he gets his wings and ability to fly.  Joesph immediately became almost drunk with glee at the thought of flying.  It had always been his dream since he was a little boy seeing planes and helicopters go overhead.  For him flying is the greatest thing ever and everything he ever thought it would be.  If his not in the sky his not truly happy.

While Joesph is a very caring soul he is caring to a fault.  Too trustworthy of people which has come back to bite him a time or two.  Plus Joesph is very anti-violence, his never thrown a punch, held a knife outside of a kitchen, or shot a gun. 
X-Gene Mutation: Feathered wings/Ability to fly: Joesph's main ability comes in the form of the two 5 foot long each feathered wings which stick out of his shoulder blades on his back.  He has full control of them and can use them to lift himself up off the ground and fly through the air.  His body has changed to reflect this as well.  As his bone structure has a more hollow structure like a bird's while maintaining durability, and his eyes are able to see through strong wind force.

The wings themselves can fold up and with a belt tying them against his back can be hidden under clothes.  Its a bit uncomfortable though and Joseph hates having to do it.

Occupation: College student for the moment being, but only part time at a community college since he has so many other responsibilities on his plate.
Other/Bio A native of Portland, Oregon still living there, Joesph was around 6 years old his world got turned upside down.  His father was killed in a hit and run by a drunk driver, leaving his mom with all five of their kids to raise on their own.  Immediately though Joesph proved himself as he took a lot of the burden onto his shoulders as his mom had to begin working two jobs to be able to afford.  He was fueled by simply wanting to see things be better, better for the family and the world.  Whenever his siblings got down he was right there to try and cheer them up.  If one of them needed help he tried to be there first.  It wasn't just his family either.   Wither it was school, or volunteering elsewhere.  Joesph seemingly wanted to be anywhere he could help.  It has worn him down, and heaven knows he has wanted to rest every now and again.  However its just too much of an almost sickness for him.  It helps him cope with things when he can at least see others smile.

One day Joesph's sister noticed a pair of abnormal lumps on his back.  In a panic his mom had him go to various doctors, who were all stumped as too what they were.  He was put on painkillers and was even considered for chemotherapy.  However after struggling to sleep Joesph stumbled into the bathroom in a haze induced by a piercing pain.  The two lumps had swollen out to grotesque sizes and were so taut that the pain made Joesph nearly pass out.    However the two lumps suddenly ruptured, and out from them came a pair of the most beautiful wings ever.  His family was stunned, however they repaid Joesph by not judging him a bit.  However when word got out about him.  A gathering of people have come to visit him.  Proclaiming him an angel brought to the planet by God himself.  However when the doctors he once visited told him he instead got the wings through a modified X-Gene.  The praise turned to fear and hate.  With Joesph in a very precarious spot.

[hider=Nicholas Brooks]
Name: Nicholas Brooks
Age: 17
Personality: Nick grew up practically hiding in plain sight of the world.  He didn't always like it, but begrudgingly grew to accept it for the most part.  His very quiet, usually keeps to himself well and isn't one to be too emotional about things.  

With his powers though there is a part of Nick that loves it.  Loves being so large and in charge, its all very awkward for him, his still not used to all the girth and what comes with it, and he'll never admit it up front.  Nick just secretly enjoys his powers, as it finally gives him the ability to not be so small anymore, and no one can ignore him ever again.
X-Gene Mutation: Mass manipulation – Starting at around 6'3 and 300 pounds, Nick can change his body mass at will.  It takes a moment especially if he wants to grow into the more extreme sizes his capable of.  Which can be around 8'0 and two tons, however in doing so he loses mobility and speed.  Once he reaches 7'7 he can't even really move himself anymore.  

Strength/Durability – With the bulk comes power, even at his normal sizes Nick is capable of lifting 5 tons over his head.  However the bigger he gets the stronger he becomes as his mass adds to his strength.  Along with that all the mass protects him and anyone his protecting to the point where a grenade would only faze him.  As the fat in his body would simply absorb the impact.

Occupation: High school student, formerly worked as a part time janitor for a London Underground station before the mutation)
Other/Bio Nicholas was born in the depths of London, where even at birth his small size proved difficult.  As he wasn't expected to live being delivered early and underweight.  It all carried over into his life.  He was always a small lad, he was never really picked on in school because bullies never really bothered noticing him, as most others did as well.  

When he turned 15 though Nicholas suddenly felt himself develop an appetite that slowly grew more and more powerful with each meal.  What would start as an extra apple with his meal would turn into more and more food each meal causing him to balloon in size.  His parents worried sick about him took him to doctors to find out it was all a part of his x-gene development.  Soon Nick discovered his ability to change his mass at will.  It gave him a strange sense of power he never had before and deep down he loved it.  His parents have been trying to remain supportive of him.  But his eating habits are putting a very serious dent in their budget.
