Name: Lea Rahn Species: 93% Human, 7% Vahla Age: 16 Gender: Female Faction: Jedi Order Rank: Padawan Captured: Seven or eight weeks prior to the Sacking of Coruscant
Appearance:

While older than most other padawans at the age of sixteen, Lea Rahn is still in many ways a child. At the last measurement in Jedi Records (on her sixteenth birthday), she stood at 163.4 cm tall and weighed 56 kg. For humans, that is fairly average, but for someone of her particular near-human descent, it is somewhat below average, but not so far as to be unusually low. Though she has been a captive of the Sith Empire for a good while now, she has neither gained nor lost any significant amount of weight, though she may have grown a little taller. Her captors may be trying to turn her to the Dark Side of the Force and to make her willing to serve the Empire rather than the republic, but no matter how hard she’s resisted their efforts, they have not resorted to starving her. Though, obviously, she personally has had access to basic facilities for cleanliness, her traditional Jedi robes have not been cleaned even once in her captivity and are as such rather dirty, or at least as dirty as clothes get after such long use on a starship. Unfortunately, her green-bladed lightsaber was taken from her back when she was first captured.
Notable Characteristics of Species:
She looks like a baseline human. Somewhere, several hundred years back in her family tree, there was a near-human ancestor with a cartilage-based skeleton. While these genes only make up about seven percent of her genetic code, there are still measurable traits to be found. The most notable of these is the fact that her bones are noticeably more flexible than those of a baseline human. Paradoxically, they are actually more resistant to fractures than those of her ancestors who had more of the Vahla genetics in them. But this also comes at a price, for as all know bone is tougher than cartilage. Where a pure-blooded human would have a clean break, someone with Lea’s genetic heritage is practically guaranteed to get a complex fracture if the bone first breaks.
Biography:
Lea Rahn was born sixteen years ago (in 3669 BBY) in the Jedi medical center on H’Ratth. As the youngest scion of a long, unbroken line of Jedi knights, no one even bothered to have her checked for Force sensitivity. Instead, they started training her in the ways of the Jedi even before she could really understand most of the lessons. Because of this, she got the jump on many other younglings skill-wise. Her family, while it had rarely risen to holding seats on the Jedi Council, was nonetheless fairly influential within the Order, not in the least because they all well-known for being strong in the Force and fair to all they dealt with. Jedi Census records has a slew of noteworthy healers, shadows and diplomats in her family. Her childhood, by most standards, could be considered carefree and peaceful. For though the Great Galactic War broke out a dozen years before Lea’s birth, it only touched H’Ratth indirectly. To the Jedi Order, the H’Ratth praxeum was known far and wide as a place of healing, a place of peace. The only Jedi to normally come there were those eager to master the healing arts, or those in need of the master healers. Though her family did not expose Lea to the full extent of the war, she wasn’t completely isolated from it either. From a young age, she helped treat the injured who came to H’Ratth. Lea’s natural inquisitiveness and penchant for not taking a no for a no quickly led to her learning more about the war than most suspected, as well as losing any trace of shock when it comes to major injuries. To her, a major fracture is only different from a shallow cut in the level of treatment required. Even as she learned more about treating the wounded, the other Jedi continued to give her lessons in how to use the Force. Some three weeks before her eighth birthday (in 3661 BBY), she passed the initiate trials and was formally apprenticed to Jedi Master Ral Shodon, a renowned diplomat and healer. He was known to be fair but strict to all he dealt with, and many hoped he could teach Lea that a no actually does mean a no. Few thought that likely, though. Master Shodon’s training regimen was intensive and strict, allowing Lea far less free time than most Padawans, something that ensured that she was well ahead of her peers both in skill and knowledge just three years after gaining the padawan status (3658 BBY). While this meant that Lea learned far more in these years than her peers, her social development was somewhat stunted by it. She did have some friends, but none of them truly close, rarely having the time necessary to form closer bonds. This matched the opinions of her master well, for he felt that in order for the republic to win the war, some things had to be sacrificed. His was also the opinion that the Jedi needed to work much more closely with the Republic. Thus it was that though she was, physically and skill-wise ready for the Jedi trials long before her peers (in 3656 BBY), her master did not let her go through them. Instead, he took her away from H’Ratth to the Republic Elite’s Resort world of Alassa Major, where he had every intention of fixing her lack of social skills, even as he trained her in the pitfalls of dealing with politicians. Lea’s time on Alassa Major was anything but relaxing. When she wasn’t learning diplomacy, she was studying the history of the republic and the Jedi. When she wasn’t doing those, she was honing her physical skills or her use of the Force. Her master’s goal was to have her spend four years on that planet to learn all she needed, but that was cut short (in 3653 BBY), some eight weeks before the Sacking of Coruscant. In a daring raid far past the front lines, a Sith armada jumped straight to that planet, fully intent upon capturing or killing a good portion of the Republic’s richest and most powerful. Though there were a numerous ships in orbit above the planet, few of them were warships and none of those had full or top-notch combat crews. Within nightfall, virtually all who were on Alassa Major at the time were either in hiding, dead, or more likely, captives of the Imperial Forces. Lea and Master Shodon held their own for a while, but were soon pinned down by overwhelming numbers. Lea’s lightsaber training had early on been focused towards the aggressive Ataru form. While that form is excellent against multiple opponents, even it has a limit. Not even a master of Ataru can hold out forever against a hundred or more soldiers with blasters. In the end however, neither of them were cut down by the countless blaster bolts flying through the air. Instead, they were both hit with stun blasts fired by another group of Imperial troopers. When Lea next woke up, she and Master Shodon were both tied up and surrounded by Sith troopers. But that was not what caught her attention. No, what caught her eyes was the Sith standing right before her, fingering her master’s lightsaber. That Sith had no right to do that! Lea tried to get up and rush the red-skinned woman, but before she could even get her feet under herself, a pair of Imperials resolutely pushed her back down. What happened next went beyond Lea’s comprehension. Without any warning, without saying a word, the Sith drew her lightsaber and cut Master Shodon’s head off in a single swipe. Lea tried to fight those holding her down, but they were far too strong. Oh how she wanted to kill that Sith! For a few moments, Lea expected her own head to be cut off as well, but instead she was lifted up and carried away. What happened after this point and before the Sacking of Coruscant can only be guessed at. Certainly there were no republic-aligned witnesses to it.
Flaws:
Lea is more than anything inexperienced. Though her training and education has been far more intensive than that of other padawans her age, she has yet to put most of that training to practical use. With the loss of her master and all connections to the past, her nascent uncertainty has begun to bear fruit. As a lone prisoner of the Sith, she knows that there are no one around who can be trusted with anything. This has caused her to bury questions she would have asked in the past. Her master had taught her well how untrustworthy the Sith are.
Skills:
Her master’s training has given her knowledge in many far-ranging fields. History. Tactics. Politics. Subterfuge. Diplomacy. Even basic piloting. However, Lea has never flown any ship alone before, there has always been someone to help and guide her in controlling the vessel. Since her capture, she has picked up several new skills, like bypassing cell security.
Force capabilities:
Lea has, naturally, been trained in all the basic force powers common to her age, but isn’t too practiced in using most of those abilities under stressful circumstances. Some, she was taught by Master Shodon, the rest she learned from others. Like all Jedi, she’s trained in the basics. She has learned a fairly wide range of skills for her age, but still lacks practice. What her master did not teach her, she picked up from other Jedi. She’s fairly adequate at mental skills, but is quite inexperienced with using the more physical skills. Its not that she’s incapable of doing them, that she’s weak, but simply that she’s not used to using those abilities much. The one skill she has had plenty of time to practice is her meditation. Being stuck for hours or even days at a time in a cell has given her plenty of time to practice that. Basic abilities, including some extra training in using mind tricks. Force Healing, Breath Control, Crucitorn.
Personality:
Lea doesn’t give up easily. Her master’s strict training regimen hardened her in this fashion. He taught her not to give up even when circumstances seem hopeless. Thus it is that she’s taught herself to escape from most any sort of containment. It hasn’t helped her get off the Imperial transport Kaggath yet, but even if the first thirty-eight escape attempts don’t work, doesn’t mean the thirty-ninth or fortieth attempts won’t either. When she’s set on a goal, she’s very hard to dissuade.
Relations:
When Jedi Master Sela Kythor was grievously injured in trying to break the Blockade of the Hydian Way (in 3661), she was taken to H’Ratth for the level of Medical care only available there. When she arrived, Lea aided the masters in treating Sela’s injuries. During the time afterwards, in between her intensive lessons with Master Shodon, Lea also guided Sela through the recovery.

Lea Rahn respects people who are direct. It doesn't have to be the truth, but people sliding around facts, trying to hint at some sort of hidden stuff will only annoy her, never earn her respect. Trying to push her around to giving respect that way will never work. She's far too stubborn. Her vocal pitch is Contralto.

Name: Kennith Rahn Species: Near-Human (92% Human, 8% Vahla) Age: 41 Gender: Male Faction: Jedi Order Rank: Jedi Knight - Investigator Captive? Nope. Appearance:

Standing 176 cm tall, Kennith is neither remarkably tall nor short. He’s relatively muscular, but not overly so. The partial armor beneath his robes may give the impression of a stouter build than he really has. Notable Characteristics of Species: Like his niece, Lea Rahn, he looks like a baseline human. While he’s mostly human, he shares the same Vahla ancestry as her, though the randomness of genetics has him with a whole percent more Vahla, which is not enough to make any significant difference. Like her, his bones are harder to break than those of a human, but in turn if they do break, they are considerably more prone to fragmentation. Flaws: Kennith is many things, but a duelist is not one of them. Over the years, he’s practiced some dueling, but he never became what anyone would consider good at it. As such, he’d much rather run from than fight another Jedi/Sith. Though it is excess weight most of the time, he nonetheless carries a second lightsaber sheathed within a specialized compartment on the side of his left boot. This allows him both to pull a second lightsaber if some accident (or capture) should leave him unarmed and to wield two lightsabers at once, but like with dueling, he’s no expert at this either. This does mean his boots are bulkier than optimal, which can be a hindrance. Skills: When it comes to lightsaber combat, his primary form is V, Shien, as he deals more often with the scum found throughout the galaxy than he does with Sith. He’s had some basic training in a couple of other forms, but not enough to reach more than very basic proficiency. He has basic proficiency in Jar’Kai, but still prefers to stick to the fifth form due to his lack of regular practice with dual blades. While training as a Jedi Investigator, Kennith picked up a wide range of skills, from slicing to demolitions to galactic law and linguistics. Knowing the nuances of laws in many sectors and systems has helped him get away with doing things of questionable legality on more than one occasion, something not all the masters of the order fully approve of. In many ways, he’s followed an “ends justify the means” methodology for much of his career. In particular, his skill at hot-wiring speeders and sleight of hand has met with lackluster approval from more than one Jedi Master. Over the years he's become a decent pilot. Not an Ace, but more than passable. Having to occasionally run from a pissed-off Hutt necessitates a certain level of skill. Force capabilities: The basics, with increased focus upon acrobatics and mind tricks, as well as convenient skills like Breath control, detoxify poison, Tapas and disable droid. He’s not above using messier abilities like Malacia, but he won’t use abilities of a darker nature. As an investigator, he’d have practically salivated over the idea of using Psychometry, but that aptitude is practically non-existent. He’s tried at times to use Force Cloak, but has not quite gotten the hang of it. After several failures at very inopportune moments, he’s stopped experimenting with that. Mostly. Biography: Though he was born on and went through childhood on H’Ratth like most other members of House Rahn the past many generations, he shared neither the temperament for nor the particular aptitude towards healing with the Force. When that became clear to the masters, he was given a quite different training regimen, including that of becoming the padawan to a Jedi Investigator, a Rodian named Grogos Anwan. He took to that like a Thranta takes to the sky. Within a decade, he passed the trials, had thoroughly perplexed his master and gotten on a bad footing with three different criminal cartels. Not bad for a decade’s work. The outbreak of the Great Galactic War in 3681 affected him less than it affected most Jedi. Sure, he’s not fond of the Sith, but he did not get recalled to fight in the war, being far more useful where he was. The scene in the criminal underworld got shaken up by it, but soon stabilized once more. He’d learned that criminals might fight and compete, but they liked a certain level of stability. Thus, when the Mandalorians loyal to the Empire blockaded the Hydian Way in 3661, Kennith could see the repercussions throughout the underworld. He and his fellow investigators didn’t have even remotely close to enough pull (or credits) to outright get someone to break it (the sum for that would’ve been immense), but a few words here and there, a few credits dropped in convenient places ensured that eventually some smugglers got the idea of breaking it. Once that ball started rolling, all he had to do was keep an ear to the ground and tip off the SIS at the appropriate time. What happened next is all history. As the years went by, he continued building his network of informants and dealing with criminals that went too far, but did not stand out in any particular events. He might’ve had some involvement with contracts the republic gained with questionable legality, but if he did, it is a well-kept secret, just like the existence of such contracts is. When the Sith attacked Alassa Major, taking his niece Lea captive as well as a good number of the republic’s elite, he dove deep into the criminal underworld, only communicating with his superiors when he found things that were of significant importance, either the the war effort or for the search for his niece. Some sort of sixth sense, perhaps linked to the Force, told him that Lea hadn’t been sent directly to Korriban. Many of his peers told him to give it up, but Kennith could not. In some ways, he felt he’d failed her by being absent as much as he had, even if he deep down knew that it could not have been any different. He’d heard both from her parents and from her master that she was not of quite the same temperament as him, so even if they had not been kin, it would not have been right for him to train her. Seeing that fact, and that they were kin, he could not have trained her properly even if it had been allowed. The day he learned she’d been captured, he swore a vow that he’d not stop searching till he found her and if possible, brought her back. The following day, he left H’Ratth behind, Only stopping by Alassa Major to take in the scene of the destruction left behind by the Sith before delving into the criminal underworld. Ever since, he’s followed a fairly regular pattern, starting with the Coruscanti underworld, then Tatooine followed by Bothawui and Nar Shaddaa, before going to Trandosha, only to go back to Coruscant again. On each of those worlds, he’d spend a few days to a week, never more. Over time, he built up a fairly extensive portfolio on the Sith responsible for the Alassa Major attack. Some Jedi feared he might fall to the dark Side, but others who knew him better knew there to only be minimal risk of that. He might have a history of twisting the laws, but he had never strayed from the principles of the Jedi Code. His feelings for Lea were those proper between two who are close kin, no more. She was less than half his age. His search led him no closer to her, but it was not all in vain. On one of his trips to Nar Shaddaa, maybe a bit over four weeks prior to the Sacking, one of his informants told of a recent strike against a hutt-opposing group of criminals, in particular, a young woman who stood out in it – Someone the hutts really wanted to punish. He did not normally work at recruiting the way some other Sentinels did, but he could not deny the evidence that indicated she might be Force-sensitive. After a couple of hours of debating, he decided to seek her out and fetch her. Seeing as she was scheduled to die in the Arenas, he did not have time to acquire the credits to buy her, nor did he think the hutts would sell her for any reasonable amount even if he had had those credits. Thus he had only one option. The violent one. He made his way to the correct arena and found his concern to be more than justified. That particular arena wasn’t one he usually contacted informants in, but it took but a few moments to figure out that she was scheduled to fight a fairly renowned Zabrak, one with a history of brutal kills. It wasn’t hard to figure out, seeing how she was the only female scheduled for that particular day. Using the Force for all it was worth, he threaded his way through the crowds until he got close to the cage the fight was in. By the time he got close enough, the fight had already started. It was already messy. Calling on the Force once more, he rushed forth, slicing the cage open and splitting the Zabrak in half with a single swing of his lightsaber. With two more slashes, he cut the side of the cage away, and made it abundantly clear that she was to follow him away. Even in deep shock as she was, she did not object. The cheers of the crowd were deafening, most of them not yet having realized it wasn’t part of the show. By the time they got to the edge of the arena, enough had figured it out to start shooting. He easily turned those bolts back on their owners. A dozen more kills and two hot-wired speeders later, and he took her away from Nar Shaddaa, fully knowledgeable about the fact that he had probably gotten on the wrong footing with yet another Hutt. But he’d gotten the girl away safely, that was the important thing. Killing one cage fighter and stealing another wasn’t sufficient for the hutts to issue a death mark. Probably. He brought her back to the Coruscant by the fastest reliable route, then dropped her off for the Masters to deal with. He certainly had no intention of training her. In their time together, he’d quickly learned just how nasty a mouth and temper she had. He did not want to have to live with that for the next decade or two. Besides, he needed to continue searching for traces of his niece, and that would not be possible while dragging a padawan along. Personality and/or Motivation: Kennith Rahn is a bit of an enigma. As a Jedi Investigator, he helps the Order and the republic maintain the law. He is very clear on that front. But on the other hand, he’s not above going into gray areas to achieve that, including, at times, charcoal gray areas so far as the laws are concerned. The ends justify the means. He respects the Jedi code, but is willing to flex certain rules when needed. However, no matter how flexible he is with certain rules and laws, he has never yet strayed from the light side, which might be why he’s not been chastised more by the masters. He knows enough about the family history to be very wary of the Dark Side. Player’s long term goals: Kennith will be a source of information for the rescuers. A bit unorthodox in his methods, but he’s known for results and with a personal stake in the rescue, none will doubt his resolve to see it through. Relations: Nazca: He’s the one who found her on Nar Shaddaa and brought her to the temple. He knows a little about her, but not much. Lea Rahn: Lea is his niece. While he’s looked in on her on occasion and has kept a certain eye on her progress, he’s not had much chance the past couple of years. With her being less than half his age, he treats her accordingly. By the time she became more than a toddler, he was already knighted. She is in many ways the daughter he never had. Her capture by the Sith hit him hard because of this.

Name: Miasa Trentax Species: Sluissi Age: Uncertain, youthful (30s) {Secret: 62} Gender: Female Faction: Sith Empire Rank: Apprentice (Architect)
Appearance:
As Sluissi go, Miasa has a fairly standard appearance. Her eyes are black with just a faint tinge of blue, her scales a grayish green. When standing upright without stretching higher or crouching, she is roughly 1.6 meters tall, though she can easily stretch well over a meter higher without much effort. She can naturally also slide upon the floor like a serpent, though she prefers not to. Stretched out, her body is 3.72 meters long, but she generally keeps her tail end fairly close, or at least bent. When at rest and not moving about, she can easily coil it up beneath herself. When compared with male members of her species, of whom she cannot recall having seen any, she is somewhat smaller, both in resting height, length and in girth. Her weight is roughly 52 kilograms, which puts her similarly somewhat beneath the average for her species. Her clothes are simple, worn primarily for appearance rather than the need to conceal anything. She’s not got anything to hide and there’s no part of her that should be seen as interesting to males of non-sluissan origin in any case. As clothes go, she only wears a few series of Herglic-leather belts and bandoliers filled with firmly strapped-down tools of her trade. The muscles of her body are sleek but powerful, able to lunge fast like most snakes and reptiles are, capable of building up crushing strength due to the ability she has of locking certain muscles. The scales forming her underside are larger than the others, making movement easy while offering added protection from anything upon the floor.
Notable Characteristics of Species:
Sluissans tend on average to be roughly 1.7m tall while at rest, ranging from a total length of 3.6 to 4m long. Their adult body mass at regular gravity can go from around 50 kg up to 80 kg on average, depending on body length and girth. Being reptilian, they have no hair. Unlike most species, they do not have legs. Their tongues are forked, their eyes ranging from blue to black. As senses go, their regular sight is somewhat diminished, though they can to some degree “see” heat and they can taste the air. Because of their large area of contact with the ground, certain types of vibrations are possible to sense and to some degree pinpoint. The average lifespan of a Sluissan is 76 years, with clear signs of aging showing up around the 50th year. Scales are shed a few at a time, rather than a full set at a time. They range from light-brown to deep-green in hue.
Flaws:

When it comes to the biology of Sithspawn, Miasa knows quite a bit, having at one time studied under Darth Nyiss. But when it comes to other species, she thinks she knows more than she actually knows. This can cause unforeseen mistakes and misunderstandings.
With no legs, she can’t climb the way other humanoid species can. To climb up anything, she either needs to have something to grab onto, or for it to have sufficient friction for her scales to grip. Vertical or near-vertical surfaces are virtually impossible to climb. Due to her body’s natural friction and low balance point, she can have far greater reach than many other species without putting herself at risk of falling.
Though her species is not cold-blooded, she is anything but fond of cold temperatures and climates, as her body has very little natural insulation. Thus, exposure to low temperatures over long time can be devastating.
When it comes to her belongings and her places of work, she is meticulously organized. Anyone messing up her system can and will get on her bad side quickly and not easily earn forgiveness. Same goes for people who try to make her rush her work.
While most assume she is the age she looks, an enterprising Sith might discover that she is considerably older, that she should have been near the end of her life, not in her prime. How this came to pass is not so easily discovered, but some might draw a connection between her age regression and Nyiss’ youth. They would be right, but that would not help them find the how of it. Having been old once, Miasa does not particularly look forward to being so again, finds a certain relief in it being many years off still.
Compared to most others, despite her size, she is not heavy. Even without the Force, she can easily be thrown about by others.
At several points in her past, she showed a strong tendency towards hubris. This tendency, while not seen lately, may not fully have been eradicated.
When it comes to combat, she is at times too careful, letting fights drag on and ignoring others’ mistakes despite her near-mastery of Soresu, simply because she’s sure they’re feints. This can be risky, as nobody’s perfect in their combat.
When she’s frustrated with machines not doing as they are supposed to, she frequently uses Sith Lightning upon them, despite deep down knowing that will not do anything beneficial. It might even damage the machines further. Still gives her a certain satisfaction.

Skills:

All Sluissi have a natural aptitude with technology. Be it from small objects like lightsabers to droids and even up to starships, Miasa can fix them all given enough time, maybe even improve their functionality. This ability, particularly the last, comes from a mixture of seeing how things work, patience and massive amounts of experience and knowledge. Her level of preferences go in this decreasing order: Tools, ships, large machines, droids. The reason for this is simple: tools don’t have minds of their own and are easy to meddle with. Ships are complex but with the same basic set of functions no matter the size. Their mainframes are rarely too wilful. Large machines are generally not too willful and tend to be easy to rework. Droids however, can be rather wilful and uncooperative.
Similarly, computer security systems are merely a hurdle, not a barrier, so long as they do not have a timed self-destruct, that is.
When it comes to lightsaber combat, Miasa has a highly customized style, not in the least because of her unique physiology. The principles behind her style is primarily Soresu, but she will just as often utilize two lightsabers as she will one. Seeing how she doesn’t have feet, her footwork is… lacking. Instead, she utilizes her tail for all its worth. Where a legged individual can theoretically be kicked/pushed over, a Sluissi is practically impossible to destabilize in that fashion.
She is very hard to escape, as her sense of smell and taste is far superior to that of species like humans and she can to some degree sense vibrations. This makes her a natural tracker, a skill she has had some practice with, but it is not something she has chosen to master. The quality of the tracking depends on the climate and environment.

Force capabilities:

Being non-humanoid, some of the basic skills do not work the same way for her. Jumping, for example, is very different. But she’s naturally trained to use them all in her own fashion.
While she is of course capable of choking people with the Force, she prefers to use her own body, be it hands or tail to do so. It gives her more satisfaction. Locking her muscles, she can drag such out for a long time. providing them just enough air not to die, but not enough to do anything meaningful.
Her primary training in the Force comes in the form of Sith Alchemy. She’s no master at it, but neither is she a beginner. Her favored subjects are certain Sithspawn and complex machines. In her years of serving the Darth, she has designed and/or built many things for her, though she never knows what the Darth uses and what machines/designs are simply false leads. She knows well that she is far from indispensable.
Some say that her work with machines and Sith Alchemy is very similar to the art of Mechu-deru, but to Miasa, who has never learned any form of Mechu-deru, it is simply alchemy. Whereas Mechu-deru (normally at least) doesn’t utilize the Dark Side, her skill with imbuing technology with the Force is based upon using the Dark Side. If confronted with an object enhanced/created through Mechu-deru, she will not readily see how it was done, or be able to replicate it. Where an object crafted with Mechu-deru might be made to work at 120% capacity due to the internal parts being streamlined and structured beyond design capacity, Alchemical creations tend to be designed with the idea of doing things beyond what they should be able to do. Tools that cause the user mild pain to hold. Machines that can splice genes of the different species. Ships whose controls bring out the darker nature in their pilots. Where “enhancement” and calm emotions fuel traditional mechu-deru, Alchemy is fed more by harsh emotions.
She has a certain level of skill with Force lightning, but it is more often used on machines than on people, and then only when the frustrate her sufficiently.

Biography:
The known facts about Miasa Trentax are few and far between. Its not that the details don’t exist, but rather that few know them and fewer still share them with people. But there are a few obvious facts. One, she was clearly not hatched in the Empire, as there is no notable Sluissi population in the pre-war Empire. Two, it is not known exactly who brought her to the Empire or when that happened. Those who do dig deeply enough assume she was taken captive early in the war. Those who dig a little deeper, will find that someone remarkably similar to her in appearance and name was seen in the empire decades before the war, but that she is too young to be that someone unless there is something more to her than her appearance suggests. Most who dig will not find much beyond this. Those who dig deeper, will find that whomever brought her to the Empire from the republic had wanted her as a “pet project” of some sort, only to be killed not long after returning with her. For the next decade, she was thrown about between various functionaries both in the imperial navy and in the Sith Order. Few liked her, fewer still trusted her. Some time after that, she was put to work in the shipyards of the Imperial Navy, where she proved to be naturally apt for both repairing, constructing and improving machines and ships. She spent a few years working there, then someone got the crazy idea of testing her for Force-sensitivity. Few believed a lower species like hers could have aptitude, but those few were proven wrong shortly afterwards, when the test results came in. Her aptitude for the Force meant only one thing: Sith training. The training was harsh, many of the Sith piling challenge after challenge upon her, hoping to see her fail. But while some took her more time than others, she never left a challenge unfinished, never left a foe unbeaten. In time, she revealed herself to be highly ambitious and quite cunning. Despite the handicaps she had, she rose faster than most through the ranks in the Sith Academy. Too quickly, many said. In the end, her rapid rise resulted in hubris, for she soon thought herself ready to challenge a Sith Lady. It doesn’t take a genius to see how an apprentice barely out of the academy, even a skilled one, cannot easily best a Sith Lady. The Sith Lady she chose was a fairly reclusive one, who was not well known to anyone, going by the name “Nyiss”. She located the Sith Lady, then went to her hideout, fully intent upon victory. Exactly what went down in that challenge is not known to anyone outside it, but when she did not return, most assumed it had gone with her as it went with others who failed such challenges. They assumed her dead. Decades later, some nineteen years before the present day, the recently anointed Darth Nyiss emerged onto the imperial scene, for the first time joining the war against the republic. Her battles were short, sudden and messy. Many commanders disliked having her involved due to the cases of friendly forces being hit by her biochemical weapons, but higher up in the hierarchy, her victories were met with widespread approval. The war in that theatre, which had long been stagnating, started advancing once more. Five years and countless casualties later, shortly after the Darth got a small fleet permanently assigned to her, she up and left the war for the unknown regions. For several years, none saw anything of her or her fleet. When she returned, she not only looked younger than she had looked when she left, but she had at her side a fairly young Sluissan who bore a remarkable resemblance to the ambitious Sith who had set out to depose then-Lady Nyiss. The Sluissan, Miasa, had knowledge far beyond her years, so soon rumors arose in certain parts of Sith ranks that the Darth had found the means of controlling her age. Several Sith tried to investigate, but after several such investigations were thoroughly discouraged from completion, most Sith gave up on finding that particular truth. There enough corpses of those who had failed to discourage even the most eager of Sith Lords. The new Miasa, though evidently the same person as the old one physically, was a different person altogether when it came to behavior and personality. Where the old one had been brash and impatient, the new one was patient and meticulous. The same ambition could be seen in her, but it was tempered. And there was no doubt about her loyalty to the Darth. She often disappeared for months at a time, presumably on various lengthy projects for her master. For the two months leading up to the Sacking of Coruscant, she has been overseeing the refits on Nyiss’ personal fleet.
Personality and/or Motivation:
Above all other traits, Miasa is patient. Ever since her long-ago exuberance ended up with her being in the service of Darth Nyiss, she has shown how much she values patience. When she sets a goal, it is rarely set on a short timetable. Like other Sluissi, she has been known to achieve miraculous things with machines, but never so when rushed. As such, she tends to have fairly free reins in her work, so long as she delivers. As someone belonging to a species that isn’t remotely similar to her master’s, she knows well that she will never truly be considered worthy of learning all her master knows. Once, she might have resented that, but in the decades since she first entered the Darth’s service, she has learned to live with it. To her, knowing even 80% of what her master knows is enough. If she can at the same time ensure that her master’s knowledge and power grows, so too will her knowledge and power grow. She knows better than to supplant her master, but that does not mean she is beyond taking part in the intrigue of the Sith.
Though Miasa Trentax has not been around the Kaggath for the sacking, she has kept a certain eye on some of the dossiers of the other Sith and upon bits and pieces of the surveillance footage from the cells. Seeing how she’s been rather busy, she has not had the time to watch much of it. The opinions below are just as much how her view will most likely become as it is what her view currently is.
Sith
Darth Nyiss: For decades, Miasa has been in the service of Darth Nyiss. As such, she knows the Darth well. Sish She has heard of this Sith Lord and knows there’s more to him than meets the eye, but what she does know doesn’t make her overfond of him. She would not go out of her way to ensure his survival. Jewel Namore Jewel’s almost unbridled ambition reminds Miasa of how she was in her youth. As such, she considerers the 39-year old Sith Lord to be child-like and impatient, neither trait favorable. In her eyes, Jewel could use a good thrashing from someone to teach her patience. Jayda Mirthios Jayda’s unwillingness to give in to Sish’s brutality raises her value in Miasa’s eyes, but at the same time her unwillingness to fully use the dark side is not a good sign. As such, her view of Jayda is relatively neutral. Zanna Like with Jewel, Miasa views Zanna’s ambition with a bit of concern. Ambition needs to be bridled. Power needs to be earned through patient and hard work or it will slip away as quickly as it was gained. Jakali Harcor She does not know too much about Jakali. He isn’t quite so ambitious as others and has been known for a certain patience, so her opinion of him is higher than of others, but seeing how he is human, he is still inferior in her eyes. His loss of a limb shows that he was not patient enough at one time, but the fact that he is still alive is a possible indication that he learned something from it. Azariah Alexander Azariah is one of few Sith that Miasa respects. He seeks knowledge much the same way she does, and he does not rush about. These two traits combined mean considerable respect from her. Ven'ren Dijktra Miasa doesn’t trust Ven’ren. All she has learned of him makes her view him as unreliable and incapable of long-term plans.
Jedi Rescuers
Lyric Novan No knowledge or opinion yet. Sela Kythor No knowledge or opinion yet. Kennith Rahn No knowledge or opinion yet. Avix Veir No knowledge or opinion yet. Voson Pha No knowledge or opinion yet.
Jedi Prisoners
Tolun Fi He is patient and technologically apt. As such, he is worthy of a certain level of respect. His conversion either to the Dark side and/or to the side of the Empire is a high-priority goal, but not something that should be rushed. Alat SevNot formed yet: His calm demeanor is a plus in Miasa’s eyes. KorenNot formed yet Xid TerrikNot formed yet: Though she does not yet know much about this prisoner, she will find him interesting and focus somewhat upon him. Nazca Barsavi Despite her distance from the Kaggath, Miasa has heard of this one’s loud-mouthed and thoughtless tendencies. They do not make her worthy of respect. Lea Rahn Miasa was present back when Lea was initially captured, but has had very little to do with the young human in the months since, having been away working on various projects for the Darth. Her opinion as such is somewhat unformed. Shir'Inilim “Shiri” Miasa considers Shiri to be a bit of an unknown. She is young and thus has much room for growth. Her opinion is as such fairly neutral. Arix VaasNot formed yet: Much like with Shiri, Miasa thinks the full extent of Arix’ value to the Darth is an unknown. Neutral opinion. Jade YuNot formed yet: Same as the previous.
