Alright, I got your PM. This is my first time doing anything D&Dish, so I may struggle a bit with some of the concepts. Have any advice or info I need to know before I start?

@SpookySquid No problem, it's going to be a first for a lot of things, so I am expecting lots of mistakes to be made, but the important thing is learning from them and getting better. As for advice working together with your party member and being creative with problem solving or just in general generally makes for more fun adventures. One of an adventure one of my friends participated in had 1 building filled with a gang of bandits that they needed to kill. Out front were barrels natural gas, I wasn't in the party so I don't know why they were there, and all they did to beat the adventure was set the building ablaze since there was only 1 exit everybody died xD.

OK, have an idea for a human conjurer. Do you think it would be best if we just posted google docs w/ the Character Sheets to avoid distribution of personal info and stuff?

As for flockdraw thank you for giving me that link. I've been severely stumped on the UI for what I was attempting to program. This isn't exactly what I wanted with uploading, but I can quickly and easily draw out the map.

It's a shame you don't have Stormwreck or Races of the Wild, since those are pretty interesting as well. Anyway, I'll get back to you when I have a character made.

We will indeed be starting at level 1.

Rolling up a Warmage (Complete Arcane) with Battle Caster (Also from Complete Arcane), meaning I can use up to Medium Armor and Light Shields and still cast spells. Which Medium Armor would you recommend? I'm leaning toward Chainmail myself but I'm not a hundred percent sure.


As for armor I'm rather unfamiliar with medium and up, I generally only get light cause I tend to attempt to play mages.

Have you settled on a type of setting, yet? 'Cause if you're using a sea-faring setting then I'm totally playing a pirate. Otherwise I'm sticking to my Warmage character.

The setting will be a land based adventure, however because there are islands there will be some adventures on the oceans and traveling from island to island. But mostly land.
