Yeah, that sounds about right. Then Demetrius can be the angry, blustering comic relief. :P

Man oh man. (also, i totally forgot Midsummer is a comedy for a second there. whoops. ;-___-) I cannot WAIT for Demetrius to meet these people.

Mercutio was kind of comic relief?

If anyone's a stand up comedian, it's likely him. Except no one understands his jokes.

"I don't know what you're talking about? Fairies? Is that supposed to be a gay joke? Regardless, I take offense."

In which Benvolio starts a chain of throwing tomatoes. Everyone's doing it, so might as well join in, right?

"Can't go wrong with a name like Bottom. The real irony is that he actually did have talent but with an ass for a head, no one really gave a crap. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth; it might turn out to be a jackass. I call that joke ironic coincidence cause who can tell the difference? Especially if you're prone to lamp shading everything you say!"

How many characters are we allowed to play because I do have the sudden urge to pick up Puck. Er. Aah.

On that note, maybe we should flip it: make the comedies into tragedies and the tragedies into comedies? That's a lot of tragedies, though. Maybe just Romeo and Juliet because, damn, that plot can turned into something hilarious. It almost is, actually, if you think about it. I thought it was funny, maybe unfortunate. Probably both.

Something like Macbeth or Hamlet, though, I can't see going any other way. Could touch up some moments to make them more lighthearted, but, uh, their plots don't really work well as comedies unless you wanna go down a morbid/macabre road. o_o Just South Park it and kill everyone gruesomely for shits and giggles.

"Gertrude, no! Claudius put potassium packets inside that goblet of water! The acid in your stomach is gonna melt the protective layer and the alkali metal's gonna react with the water in your body. YOU'LL EXPLODE!"

Boom!

Hamlet: IT WAS MEANT OR MEEEEEE *Vader-esque NOOOO!*

I obviously need to sleep.

Wow. That was a wild ride from start to finish.

I guess that depends on whether the R&J people are up for it. I'm fine with almost anything, to be honest, but I agree that stuff like Hamlet and Macbeth should be serious-er, for the most part.

Anywho, you can play as many characters as you want, provided you can handle them all. I was thinking of making another myself, but I'm busy enough as it is. >.>

Titus is the ultimate dark comedy because it's so over the top. It's actually really difficult to play it entirely straight these days. Unfortunately, I think Lavinia is going to have to stay kind of dark because of the subject matter, but I'd be down for some comedy!

Also, I too want to pick up a second character. But I think I'm going to wait a little bit to see who we need because I can't decide who I want to make (too many choices!!!!)
