I'm a bit foreign to the new format of RPG but I'm assuming if I want to make a nation I put it here?
Name of nation: The United Indigenous Peoples of Asrabhalanda and Its Protectorates, or simply Asrabhal Demonym: Asrabi Species: Azra Language: Azri Azra are reptilian in appearance. On average about seven feet tall with a weight of about 200 pounds relative to Earth's gravity. They're slender in appearance but are decently muscular, having a slightly hunched-over appearance due to the construction of their spine although they are capable of standing upright. They have four extremities like typical humanoids, but four-digit hands with claws and two-digit feet with the addition of a rear dewclaw. They lack tails but have three characteristic sets of spines that run down their back on the shoulder blades, which can be folded down but can stand up as a display of aggression or, in a more primal sense, attracting mates. When aggravated, they can also rapidly vibrate these spines, creating a loud rattling effect. Their skin is not like typical scales but exhibits properties more similar to denticles that lock in place and are smooth in one direction and abrasive on the other. Asrabis' heads taper but are blunt in the front, and have a mix of sharp incisors and flat molars. Skin color varies but usually ranges into different shades of blue or green. They have four eyes, two on their forehead and two on each side to minimize blindspots, and are capable of viewing into the ultraviolet spectrum. Morphologically, there are not many differences between males and females excluding the obvious difference in sex organs and the tone of speech. Females however, have significantly shorter back spines, and these are much sharper due to them being mainly for defense (While males' are for display). Females are viviparous, meaning that even though they carry eggs they do give birth to live young. The infantile Asrabi have the rest of the embryo they get nutrition from inside of their body, and exhaust it until they are able to feed normally. They originally came as aggressive predators but evolved to become intelligent and cultured. Although adorned with a belligerent attitude they are still a relatively peaceful people. They have upper echelons of communication and while there are multiple dialects, they are the same no matter what group one comes across. Relative to Earth, Asrabi life expectancy is about 140 years. Description of government: Constitutional Dictatorship Asrabhal is led under a single arbiter, currently Emperor Baswok Ly'tee, and features different levels of government. The Emperor can handle minor governmental concerns and in emergency can override the Constitution of Asrabhal and take complete control. There is also direct democracy on civilian issues and other issues are handled by a decent, but small, Parliament. Political freedoms are mostly granted, but there have been cases where citizens have exerted a bit too "much" free speech, and disappear without a trace. Most other freedoms, including religious, are given, but as stated above any direct slander of a higher official, especially Emperor Ly'tee, is punished with the level of severity depending on the seriousness of the offense. The Emperor also depends on an efficient and elite military cabinet for ordaining offensive or defensive operations, based solely upon his best officers. Description of military: The Armed Forces of the People's Defense of Asrabhalanda, also known as the Asrabhal Armed Forces, is chiefly under the Asrabhal Interplanetary Defense Initiative (AIDI) and commanded by Emperor Ly'tee's military cabinet. There are two main branches, each containing their sub-branches. Army of the People of Asrabhal/Asrabi Army: The APA has two main sub-branches for intraatmospheric operations: GROUND FORCE: The ground forces are an integral part of the operations and are the most ferocious fighters in the military, included in these are a few units: Infantry: Basic grunts equipped with rifles, missile launchers, grenades, and other light-to-medium weaponry. Efficient for handling mostly every kind of opposition on the ground. Artillery: Long-range cannons capable of firing concentrated plasma bursts with very high impact as well as other projectiles. Effective for area of effect and handling large, powerful adversaries Armor: With the main implement being the Zaak II Heavily-Armored Universal Fighting Vehicle, an amphibious vehicle utilizing augers for movement, it has a troop bay for holding up to 12 combat-ready soldiers, a few tons of cargo, and is also fully crewed with mounted guns and a main plasma cannon. Low-Air Strike: With Yamak I VTOL aircraft armed to the teeth, these vehicles specialize in low-altitude aerial strikes in situations where aircraft are not appropriate. AIR FORCE: Referred to officially as the Army of Asrabhal Aerial Mobility Division, the air force still carries important roles in strike, air superiority, reconnaissance and interception, materiel airlift, and strategic bombing. As a result, each of these roles has a specific platform for it. Strike: ZA-12 Drikon, STOL strike aircraft with a myriad of bombs, missiles and a rotary energy weapon in the nose. For the allotment of aircraft but also able to pack more of a punch than the Yamak I for close-in fast strikes. Air Superiority: ZZ-30 Wyndal, either launched from the ground, the hangar of a starship, or as a parasite from a mothership ,the ZZ-30 boasts incredulous speed and maneuverability, with a powerful autocannon and missiles to boot. Reconnaissance/Interception: The ZN/B-3 Orobo Interceptor is built for high speed, and sacrifices short-range armament for a larger missile payload. The ZB-3 model is used for high-speed reconnaissance in situations where satellite or ship-based surveillance is not possible, due to how common this is regardless not many ZB-3s are kept on deck. Materiel Airlift: The Zaak Mk IV Very-Heavy Transport Craft, is a massive transport aircraft capable of holding entire companies of soldiers and many tons of materiel to carry into battle. Some also are modified to serve as mobile command-and-control centers. Strategic Bombing: ZV-2, the main-line heavy bomber is a very large, very intimidating aircraft with land and sea-based capabilities. It is capable of holding massive bombloads or up to five cruise missiles, depending on payload size. Navy of the People of Asrabhlanda/Asrabi Navy: With a few subdivisions, the NPA has multiple classes of ships for space exploration and defense. All ships have a small nuclear arsenal: Zordabek-Class Supercarrier: 1600 meters in length, the largest class in the fleet and also the most infrequent with only 4 available. Used for carrying massive amounts of soldiers and vehicles for deployment, as well as a bristling defense network and a variety of artillery for any kind of strike on the ground. Rastan-Class Battlecruiser: 1100 meters in length. Used as flagships when a Zoardabek is not contained in the fleet. Much wider variety of armaments and a large complement of marines. Utilizing an antiparticle cannon they can be very threatening to large ships. Urkabi-Class Destroyer: 600 meters in length. Main attacking ship and also one of the heaviest and deadliest. Missiles, torpedoes, mines, artillery, and a large point defense network make them effective for crowd control and targeted attacks, as well as escorts. Verruna-Class Heavy Frigate: 500 meters in length. Same purpose as the Urkabi-Class in but in greater number and with less armor and firepower, although greater speed. Good for escorting and scouting. Amsda-Class Corvette: 260 meters in length, main escort ship. In great number they are a frightening tour-de-force. Sarato-Class Fighter: 30 meters in length, Fighter-Interceptor equipped on most ships for exoatmospheric combat. Variety of weapons with a large crew. Urin-Class Boarding Vessel: For a complement of up to 30 marines, these ships are meant to intercept the hulls of enemy starships and unload marines to fight. Special Units: Trasdak-Class Electronic Warfare Vessel: Ditching conventional weapons, this instead relies on an information network as well as devices like Electromagnetic Pulse emitters to attack ships. Unia-Class Orbital Defense Platform: For planetary defense, these massive linear railguns are used to fire slugs at enemy ships in efforts to defend planets and other installations. Technological Overview: Asrabhal is moderately advanced. Their warlike nature sees them using decently advanced weaponry. All ships are equipped with shields and use nuclear and some antimatter weaponry. Ships are powered with nuclear reactors, while certain other ships and many other intraatmospheric aircraft use plasma reactors to give their engines power. Weapons include plasma and lasers, while certain units may use older, more conventional weapons. Radio and telecommunications are used liberally and faster-than-light travel is achieved via tunneling through slipstream space. Medically and industrially they are relatively advanced. Asrabhal has a large merchant marine and sells many refined metals and products. More intensive industries like agriculture and mining are common but manufacturing is also an important contender. Translation software is crude but does work efficiently, and can be updated to include new language codecs. Cultural Overview: Asrabhal has a religious system known as Urbatanaka, a monotheistic religion that worships a being known as Kozarta, usually referred to as The Holiness or The Omnipotent. The nation is large and cultured, otherwise, and has a variety of holidays and celebrations. Traditional sports are popular in the empire as are racing and fighting. Despite their belligerent disposition, the Asrabi typically see themselves as peaceful and enjoyable. Life is diverse and in many regions, and many freedoms are practiced. As mentioned before religious freedom is allowed and not condemned, but free speech is somewhat restricted. Most are relatively wealthy although homelessness and other issues still arise. A lot of the culture revolves around the history of Asrabhal and the free will to fight, and as a result the nation has many gangs and paramilitary organizations, all of which are still heavily monitored and restricted by a capable police force. The main unit of currency is the Asrabi Dasra. History: Asrabhal originally comes from the name of the planet, Asrabhalanda. The origin of it all goes back to when there were multiple tribes, and nothing to necessarily unify them by. The Tribe of Kasta was one of these tribes that no longer wanted to live in the dim, and after contact with a fellow group believed that they needed to expand, to see a new world and a new development. These people began working together, forming a massive nation. Time had passed and they were massive and domineering, most of the planet was unified when the assassination of the leader, with many officials pointing fingers, led to a disastrous geopolitical schism. Efforts to keep the nation together ultimately failed, and about a thousand years ago the empire balkanized into many nation states. They argued, warred with each other constantly. The nation for many centuries was comprised of several nations, and there were restrictions. However from the nation of Yuras came the imperialistic and aggressive Kasbak Ba'rei, who sought power and with a massive military and funding proceeded to mop over most of the world. This was several hundred years ago. Soon after, the nation became developed under on unified flag and rather than squabbling over petty matters sought to improve itself. Now completely unified, The United Indigenous Peoples of Asrabhalanda and Its Protectorates continued to take over the planet and expunge any kind of previous inhabitant. They were no longer just multiple allies, but one powerful, dynamic entity. It was around this time that the space program was also developed. Fortunately, there was another habitable system detected nearby. Unfortunately, the technology to develop FTL travel was very infantile, and the system was about six lightyears away. After the breakthrough in Slipstream Space Tunneling had been made, it was soon taken over, and after some time as a protectorate became a new nation. Asrabhal has always existed in isolation. For the longest period of time they believed that they were indeed one of the only, but reports soon revealed that such was not the case. However, the technology for much of the time did not allow them to escape their bounds for some time, and focused rather on development before any major exploration. However, after appointment and his rise to power, Emperor Ly'tee looked to the stars and pondered the existence of other intelligences. He sent out a handful of fleets to look for new worlds and new people, and to hopefully see the expansion of the powerful land of Asrabhal. Other: Again, hoping I posted this right, I haven't done this in a while, so I mean.
