Be warned, Germany still seeks to estiblish it self as the dominate naval power, so that might create tension.
That may be the case, but I hope that isn't a thinly-veiled 'I want to create conflict with you for the sake of conflict'. The reasoning behind an Anglo-German alliance, especially after what has happened in WWI, is vastly more logical than the arguments against such a measure. For one, a fascist France and Italy threatens both the British and German territories overseas, as the homeland of both Empires is dangerously close to two very hostile, very antagonistic nations, both of whom are likely out for British and German blood. The French fascists will most definitely pursue an irredentist policy towards the Germans over regions such as Alsace-Lorraine, and towards the British the French will definitely feel resentment as the British abandoned the Triple Entente in favour of a neutral stance in WWI. Add to that the communist dictatorship of the USSR, and Germany's only chance of a Great Power really looks to be the UK, surprisingly enough - France and Italy won't like what Germany did in WWI, and Russia's communist against a monarchist state. Austria-Hungary looks to have imploded, power-wise, and the Ottomans, too, have imploded. The sole Great Power outside of Europe that isn't knee-deep in civil war would be Japan, and the Anglo-Japanese Alliance would have stayed intact after WWI with a French defeat and the lack of a forming of the League of Nations, as well as the American instability which would dissuade Britain from aligning herself too closely to the USA and abrogating the treaty. Even if nationalistic sentiment dictates that somehow, for some godforsaken reason, the British are the enemy (which would most certainly not be the case, given that the German people would be mightily relieved the British did not enter the war), realpolitik dictates that at the very least a defensive alliance with the British would be the most logical choice of action. I for one reckon that in this situation, London would swallow its pride and enter into treaty talks with Berlin...
