Glassy and glazed over orange, the entire lakehouse looked paused in eternal sunset. He couldn't move but he felt his chakra swirl through him and attempt to reach his eyes in panic. The urge and his own intentions fought until he heard Shin's voice. It was calm and ... to his surprise sensible. Who would have thought that Shin, the prankster, would have spoken such words. He's right. I think I took it too far, he thought. Even if it was a Minamoru, I shouldn't have been so bent on a fight. Mentor would be ashamed. When the crystal finally shattered and fell around him in shards, Daiki turned towards his clone, took Anemone, and released the jutsu. A thick puff relieved the stoic clone of its duties. For a short moment, he flashed Shin a grateful smile for the intervention, the Naito Clan was rather famous for committing heinous acts and killing a Minamoru would only add to its infamy. "My bad." Not even a moment later, Yamato was back to spewing his hate-filled words. Daiki's blood started to boil once again, his jaw tensing, and his fist clenching up. This time however, he held it back and let it fuel his words instead. Taking a step back, he rubbed the back of his neck, brows furrowed in anger. He resisted the urge to taunt him back, keeping his mouth shut as the prodigy claimed he was God. A snark breath left him as Yamato turned on Shin and Jaakuna. The two of them had stopped the fight, possibly saved their careers as shinobi and all he could do was throw threats around. He called himself a god but he was really just a kid with a god-complex. The others who refused to stand up to him and actually acknowledge his shitty attitude only fueled his delusion. As Yamato was leaving, Daiki finally spoke, standing in the small group of his peers. "You consider yourself a god, thinking that us lowly humans and the "Naito Dogs" are beneath you. This is your courtesy call, Yamato, this dog will bring your godhood down around you. Don't underestimate me." He was unsure why he felt the need to say so but he staid in that quiet moment. If only to revel in what felt like a tie with a prodigy. When he was literally pulled out of the moment, he crossed his arms over his chest--Anemone pointed towards the tree opposite of the lake--and let himself be pulled. Aoi had to be behind it, he was certain of it. Her foot was soon on his throbbing head, the pain small but noticeable. " I don't regret it, not one bit. You can't let people like the Minamoru grow to big headed. They have no loyalties, only dark ambitions. I can't say I felt that way about, Yamato the whole time. But now I do," he confirmed softly. " I know he has to be put into his place. And who better than a Nai-" A scream cut through his sentence, sending his nerves on alert and jolting him to action. Like Aoi, he sped into the forest, just a bit behind the woman in case something was wrong. When he reached the scene, Paneru was already healing a skewered girl. The decapitated bodies around them made the forest, dark and eerie. Who would dare leave such a grisly scene. He walked through the corpses slowly, eyeing them with scrutiny. When he noticed Shogo, the boy that Yamato had beaten and thrown into the lake he eyes widened. Perhaps it was the fact that the two of them had just fought. Or that Yamato had left in the same direction just moments before the screams. Whatever the reasons was, his gut just pulled him towards the prodigy. But did that self-proclaimed god really have it in him? Was his own instincts just baseless insinuations. Raising up from the ground silently, Daiki strode passed Paneru and an emotional Aoi, hell-bent on finding Yamato in the next few minutes. As a precaution, he raised his voice from the sturdy limb he was crouched on. "Aoi, be on guard. I'm going to find Yamato ... I wanna make sure he's okay," he told her. Then he put a grave emphasis on his next words. " I saw him leaving in this direction after our fight about Shogo." And with that, he dash across the branches and towards the opening that was home to the Minamoru home.
