James was born to a human male and a wolf female, his pupping near the edge of Volrath’s Forest in late autumn twenty four years ago in the dead of night. He was raised with the pack, protective of his younger cousin and never a fan of the Alpha Male though he knew the threats that lay within the forests limits. He grew taller, stronger, and smarter than the Alphas who ruled when he was growing and became better than them. On more than one occasion he had been encouraged to challenge the Alpha and take his place and has desired to though at the caution of his cousin he has not. Several of the pack followed him once into Volrath’s Forest, confident that he would not lead them to death, and that he did not; he led them to Freya to learn and those pack members became his circle, loyal more to him than Damian.
