Item descriptions may say that the residents are [i]trapped[/i], but Priscilla readily acknowledges that there is a way out: "[b]plunge down from the plank, and hurry home[/b]." Given how everything there is an abomination, staying there may be a voluntary choice/involuntary act of kindness by Priscilla. Besides, invaders, Sunlight Warriors etc. can enter/exit without having to use the ledge, soul form or not. Tarkus could very well have stumbled out of the painting as well. Like almost all souls lore, it's pure interpretation.

The only one who knows the mechanics of the Painted World is Ariamis, who is not present. Regardless, I'll edit the profile.
