Maggie liked most things that came into her life, but it was a simple pleasure, and she never experienced emotions that ranged into stronger, deeper fields - as if her emotions had a substantially lower cap than normal, keeping her in a perpetual state of mellow. This was, perhaps, the reason it took so long for her other side to emerge: her second soul slumbered and, if it stirred, she was not aware. When puberty struck a little late for the girl at the age of an old 15, things changed, particularly the subtle rise and fall of her emotions. She began to experience startling sweeps of emotion that shook her sense of self, but this too would have passed with time, if not for the catalyst. When her life twisted around a brutal moment, her other half awoke - and awoke fiercely. Since that day, Maggie had suffered from what her father called 'spells'. Small gaps in her memory that were only occasionally recognized, often following a moment of feeling strong emotions. Around the time she was 21, Maggie became involved in an altercation with her friend's abusive boyfriend, only to wake up in the hospital. Her friend reported that Maggie had been struck hard across the cheekbone, only to gain her feet once more with an expression that didn't fit well on her face - an expression that scared her friend. She lunged at the man, at which point they became involved in a violent fight that led to Maggie nearly pulverizing the man's face with the worn toe of her work boots before collapsing herself. A male nurse, treating Maggie, soon came to recognize her as a creature like him, and from there on out a title was given to Maggie's dangerous half. Personality Maggie is easy to get along with on a superficial level, but a barrier is in place that prevents anyone from getting too close - Maggie has always struggled to build relationships and doesn't mind being relatively solitary. Due to the lack of depth, she can be considered a social butterfly of sorts. With a stubborn streak a mile wide, Maggie sometimes loses hold on being reasonable in an effort to dig her heels in, but she's bright enough when it comes down to it. Beast Personality In many ways, this personality, who Maggie dubbed 'Mona', is the protector. When situations become beyond Maggie's coping capabilities, Mona steps up to handle the situation. Unfortunately, her techniques are rarely gentle in nature. Mona is suspicious and critical, with few morals to get in the way. Her ultimate goal is self preservation, and she has little concern with happens in order to maintain that goal. For the most part, her actions are kept from Maggie, and the two maintain something of a don't ask, don't tell motto. Skills -Maggie is immensely intuitive, though she has never discovered the exact method that allows her instincts to awake and start ordering her around - a certain scent, body language, or a simple feeling about upcoming events, all have caused her to change her direction numerous times. Her willingness to accept these primal notions has likely saved her life time and again, and to Maggie it's a skill, though it's a very selfish one in that it helps her to escape and survive and rarely benefits others. -A pretty nice green thumb. -Comfortable with a host of machinery relative to farm life, but also pretty smooth with a scythe. -Her very ordinariness, coupled with Maggie's easy-going friendliness, means Maggie is easily accepted and rarely distrusted, though there's often little reason to distrust her. Due to this, Maggie is often in on a host of secrets, told both intentionally or spoken without being concerned of her nearby presence. Other Information (Misc details you want to add)
