Periodically throughout the RP, it might be a good idea to have an update that's all or mostly just a news report that acts as an IC recap (good for newcomers) and also presents new roleplaying opportunities. For instance, the news might announce that a certain supervillain has been spotted, or that there will be a gathering of the city's wealthy (good for making connections but also a prime target). That sort of thing.
