The Harvest Goddess and Harvest King end up fighting over what to do with these visitors. While the Goddess wants to leave things to the townspeople and let them resolve matters on their own, the King wants to indulge in more direct ways of trying to scare the newcomers off. Things get a little violent between the two, kabloom, and they accidentally strike and kill the sacred Tree of Demeter in the center of the town. As the tree withers, everyone on the island is negatively affected. The soil on the island has become barely fertile, the weather surrounding the island is out of whack, and...other things I intend on brainstorming about happen :'D. Most importantly, both the Goddess and the King end up losing their powers and become mortal as a result.  [/quote]
