The camp lived up to every one of Adrian's unsavory expectations. The warriors may have been the greatest of of their time, but their egos were almost as prolific as their prowess in battle. Having arrived not even an hour prior, Adrian found the amount of head butting between these "heroes" downright dismaying. And considering who that was coming from, that was depressingly impressive. Mighty warriors yes. But they are definitely not allies, he noted, observing, with particular distaste, an exchange between the Red Flash and a pipsqueak that could only be the Sky Kingdom's own Dark Child. He merely shook his head when he heard the Red Flash's exuberant proclamation of vengeance against a person a fraction of his size. The gawking onlookers went back to their business and Adrian resumed his stomping trudge to the main tent. It was actually a rather beautiful day, with a radiant sun and blissful breeze, but he wasn't having any of it. While not quite resentful, serving as a replacement for Reiner and Jade was hardly something the former captain relished. The order had come rather unceremoniously to him less than a week ago. There were no heartfelt goodbyes or wishes of luck, and that was exactly the way he wanted it. He ran a hand through his sweat greased hair, scowling at whatever happened to cross his field of view at the time. The trip had turned into a tedious affair and Adrian was left feeling rather drained. The old man can wait a while longer, the tactician decided as he leaned against the nearest wall to catch a brief respite. A solid "thunk" soon followed as he dropped the case that carried Whisper, his ridiculous looking weapon of choice. "What has fate gotten me mixed up into now?" he wondered out loud.
