The Imperium of Man. An empire of countless worlds, stretching across the galaxy. Constantly under siege from xenos and traitors, and from within heretics and rebels. Trillions upon trillions of soldiers defend the worlds of the Imperium with grit, against all odds. Legions of genetically enhanced supersoldiers, acting as the Emperor's own Angels of Deaths, fight back against all who would threaten the Imperium. And from behind the stage, the Inquisition. Men and women of immense power and status, rooting out the secrets and weaknesses of the enemies of man. Rooting out those who would betray their own kin. Fighting against the supernatural, for daemons and dark gods would see the doom of mankind. In this darkness, there are only small glints of light. Heroes. Welcome to the universe of Warhammer 40,000 a grim universe where all hope seems lost. We will follow the adventures of an Inquisitor and his retinue of acolytes, in a quest to halt the actions of a traitorous Chaos Cult from summoning an infamous and immensely powerful Daemon who had once been banished to the supernatural realm of the Immaterium. The Warp. Their quest will take them across the stars, from planet to planet, tracking the few clues that they are able to find. From the murky underbelly of Hive Worlds, to burnt and scarred battlefields littered with death. If the Inquisitor and his retinue are not successful in tracking down and defeating this Cult, dozens of worlds will be swallowed by the evil of The Warp. Statues of varying size, shape, and appearance. Always on a pedestal, and always made with a glossy stone. They are fairly docile, preferring to play with ones mind, rather than attack them. Their nests are often always placed in places where people often walk, or have to walk to get by. They then will whisper, tempting people to fall to Chaos. If agitated, to banish one, you must destroy the pink gem holding it to the material realm. These gems are typically in the torso. Any other attacks only blow away the physical form, which are then replaced by the daemonic form, which is far more dangerous. The stone body's strength is fairly strong, capable of throwing a man several feet away. The daemon form is capable of tearing your soul right out of your body. -Lore Locked-
Mission Logs
Mission 1 - The Gallery Infiltration >The Gallery, suspected Cultist meeting spot >Encounter with 40 St. Ives' Statues >Aviza the Sister of Battle appeared and engaged the Statues >In the fight, Adrianne the Psyker opened a vortex of doom, collapsing one side of the hallway and alerting everyone in The Gallery. >All Cultists and Daemons fled The Gallery. >Mission failure Mission 2 - The Brothel Riot >The Brothel, protests drew our attention >When we arrived, it turned into a full blown riot >Before the Brothel burned down, we were able to retrieve information on a Tortus Abajian and his holdings >We were also able to retrieve a Slanneshi Medallion. >Mission success Mission 3 - The Factory Flight and Fight >We arrive via Valkyrie >Discovered an underground cultist base >Armsman Stukov discovers his Psychic abilities, going into a martial trance. >Zhevon closes a warp-portal while the rest of the team chase Stukov. >The retinue encounters and fights a major Slanneshi Daemon and successfully defeats it. >The Sisters of Battle arrive to cleanse the base and heal the retinues wounds. >We were able to retrieve a party invitation. >Mission Success Mission 4 - The Dance of Intrigue >IN PROGRESS
Armory
Laser based weaponry Commonly referred to as Las weapons, these firearms powered by standard imperial charge packs produce beams of focused light with which to scour the enemies of the imperium from existence. Characterised by a audible crack and bright red beam when fired. These are as varied as the worlds they are produced on. Most common are the standard M36 Lasgun issued to the average guardsman and Las pistol which sees much proliferation both in military and civilian use. Rugged construction provides the wielder of the humble Lasgun a guarantee that when the thrones are down they have a weapon that will not fail them. These are easily and cheaply produced which combined with effectively zero cost ammunition make the Lasgun the obvious choice when arming large groups of combatants. There have been complaints pertaining to their performance particularly against some of the tougher targets the Guard may face. Be reassured that the concentrated volley fire that the Guard should be practicing will fell any foe. Despite this there are patterns of lasguns produced with power in mind, sacrificing ammunition efficiency. Heavy patterns of Las weapons include the mighty Lascannon and the Multi-Laser. The Lascannon provides a much more powerful beam in shoulder mounted and vehicle mounted form. For use against hardened targets the Lascannon can crack battle tanks and bunkers with sufficient strikes. The Multi-Laser fills the squad support weapon role with a storm of powerful energy bolts. Sufficiently powerful to rip lightly armoured vehicles apart in a matter of seconds. M36 Lasgun: ][ Ammo 60 ][ Every Guardsman’s “Best Friend”. Las Pistol: ][ Ammo 30 ][ Short range and weak but reliable and comes in many flavours. Multi-Laser:][ Ammo 60 ][ Impressive and effective damn heavy though. Man Portable Lascannon: ][ Ammo 5 ][ Hits like a Grox and weighs about the same, charge packs like a Taurus battery. Solid Projectile By far the most diverse class of weapons they are united by the use of chemical propellant to fling projectiles at the target. Considered inefficient and unwieldy by many officers and the Mechanicus they see little standardised issue, this is largely due to the need to transport huge quantities of ammunition. To simplify these weapons may be divided into two types. Autoguns which use case-less ammunition and Stubbers which use cased ammunition. Despite the limitations of ammunition these see almost as much proliferation as Las weapons due to the ease of manufacturing them. These range from shotgun to sniper rifle to autocannon. Autopistol: ][ Ammo 18 ][ Favorite of gangers and shade wearing types both. Stub Revolver: ][ Ammo 6 ] Fires every time, great for hammering in nails too. Stub Automatic: ][ Ammo 9 ][ Your bread and butter semi-auto Autogun Assult Rifle: ][ Ammo 30 ][ Loud and dirty with a good ol’fashioned kick. Popular anywhere metal is cheaper than focusing arrays. Combat Shotgun: ][ Ammo 18 ][ Perfect for not breaching a wall and getting slurped into the void through a three inch hole. Heavy Stubber: ][ Ammo 200 ][ Suppression weapon issued to guard, arabites and anyone else not shelling out for heavy bolters. Bolt weapons The Emperor’s own weapon. Bolt guns are the defining weapon of the Imperium. Firing two stage 0.75 cal semi-penetrating explosive shells their brutality is matched only by the expense of each shot. These weapons are somewhat temperamental and require skilled maintenance to function correctly. Fortunately anyone capable of paying for the weapon and its ammunition is generally capable of affording the upkeep of such a proud weapon. The staccato boom and contrails of bolt shells hail the end of many battles. The iconic weapon of the Astartes is actually somewhat of a cousin design to those wielded by the Inquisition, The Sisters of Battle and Commissars across the Imperium. Astartes weapons fire the larger heavy bolter shell as standard which is single calibre and heavily loaded. For those with as many thrones as enemies there exists a large number of speciality shells for bolt weapons ranging from the deadly stalker bolt to the flamboyant dragon fire shells. The “small arms” and heavy versions of bolt weapons are divided by the difference in calibre. Bolt Pistol: ][Ammo 8 ][ Boltgun : ][ Ammo 24 ][ Heavy Bolter:][ Ammo 60 ][ Melta Also known as “Cookers” these short range weapons vaporise even the heaviest of armours with impunity. Those unfortunate enough to be near a melta weapon discharging will see a baleful yellow beam followed by the horrifying scream of the very atmosphere being ignited. They produce this effect by forcing the highly pressurised gasses in their ammunition canisters into an unstable sub-atomic fusion, channelling that power in a barely restrained reaction. The canisters themselves are completely inert though pressurised. Beloved of sappers and anti-tank teams, melta weapons fill a somewhat niche roll but nobody can deny their incredible power even if they endanger their operator via proximity to hardened targets. There also exists a variety of bombs utilising the same principles, lauded for their massive penetrative qualities they are carried by troops ranging from Astartes to Guard. Inferno Pistol : ][ Ammo 3 ][ Meltagun: ][ Ammo 5 ][ Plasma Holy to the Mechanicus these “Sun Guns” are the rarest and most dangerous of humanities “standardised weapons” their construction being a near lost art. Liquid state Photohydrogen fuel is used to power a miniature fusion core inside the weapon, the hydrogen energises into the plasma state of matter which is held in the core by powerful magnetic containment fields. When fired, the fields dilate open and the plasma is ejected via a linear magnetic accelerator as a bolt of superheated matter akin to a solar flare in appearance and temperature. To be entrusted with a plasma weapon is a privilege. Despite their potential for catastrophic destabilisation many warriors are only too eager to take up these vaunted weapons. Magnetic containment rings of overloaded plasma guns are a valuable collectors item though any with such a collection would do well to hide this fact from members of the Mechanicus. Plasma Pistol: ][ Ammo 10 ][ Plasma Gun:][ Ammo 20 ][ Flame Weapons spewing mixtures of flammable liquid or even promethium are common across much of the Imperium particularly where the Adeptus Ministorum makes its home or the blighted foes outnumber faithful forces. Many varieties of fuel exist for these simple weapons. Often forming a veritable tide of burning fluid these weapons ignore cover with the same contempt they burn the foes of the God Emperor. Hand Flamer:][ Ammo 2 ][ Flamer:][ Ammo 3 ][ Launcher Ranging from mortar to electro catapult weapons are used for many purposes due to the modularity of ammunition available for them. Frequently issued to Guard forces both grenade launchers for anti-Infantry suppression and missile launchers for hardened targets and softening enemy forces from long range. Grenade Launcher:][ Ammo 6 ][ Missile Launcher:][ Ammo 1 ][ Exotic There are many more weapons produced or at least used by agents of the Imperium thought their operation is considered a skill in and of itself. Each Exitus Rifle is hand-crafted together with a pistol for a specific Assasin. It is a sophisticated rifle designed to use speciality ammunition to destroy any target. All units come with integrated suppressor and telescopic scope. Exitus Rifle: ][ Ammo 10 ][ Exitus pistol :][ Ammo 5 ][
