Crystal had just finished preparing the latte when out of nowhere, a deep voice broke through her concentration. "You're needed in the back, honey." Before she was given time to respond -- or even react, she was dragged towards the backroom, stopping only for a moment when the dude went to grab the latte. She protested as soon as the door was shut closed behind her, "Okay, what the fuck is going-" "Show us what you can do," He interrupted. Okay, how many times was he going to interrupt her? That was the second time tonight. Crystal sighed in frustration before raising an eyebrow. She wasn't sure whether he was requesting her to do something inappropriate, or if he was asking her to show them how to make their favorite latte. "You're gonna have to be more specific than that." She replied; her voice showing a hint of annoyance. "I know you can do something. Yormie wouldn't be int-" Crystal didn't even hear a word he was saying. Her attention was drawn towards the snake that was popping out of his jacket. Even worse, it was staring at her intently. She couldn't help but think that this man had such odd taste. He shoved the snake back down into his jacket, bringing Crystal back to reality. "Sorry, what were you sa-" "The stupid snake wouldn't be so curious about you. Spill, what can you do?" He asked quite forcefully. By now, Crystal was beyond annoyed. First, he kept interrupting her. Second, he kept asking her to show him what she can do, without even explaining exactly what he meant. Crystal glared at him, not wanting to say another word. He was stubborn, and he didn't seem like the type to listen either. Any efforts to talk would just go to waste. Crystal was about to turn around and leave, when suddenly, the man lifted his hand up. She looked at him questioningly, wondering what he was trying to do. Her eyes grew wide when flames started to dance in his palm, slowly taking the shape of a straw hat. Her mouth was ajar, but she didn't notice until her mouth began to feel dry. "Now share yours" He said; his amber eyes showing a hint of red as they reflected the flames. Crystal cleared her throat, trying to appear calm, but deep inside, she was filled with questions and wonder. Is that what she thought it was? No, it can't be. Her breathing hitched, and her palms began to sweat. He caught her off guard, but now she was doing a pretty god job of not showing any hint of nervousness in her demeanor. She looked bored, uninterested, and calm. "Well, boys. This has been a very eventful evening. Thank you for showing me your magic trick. Unfortunately, I'm not interested in those things, mister magician." She said with a small curtsy and a smile. There were two possibilities in this matter. He either had supernatural abilities like her, or he was some kind of magician; the latter being much more convincing. A lot of magicians brought snakes with them, right? Either way, she didn't spend 4 years concealing her abilities just to get disclosed by two guys she knew nothing of -- besides their favorite drinks in the cafe. Crystal turned around and reached for the doorknob. The sooner she was out of here, the better.
