Well, the mystery exudes an air of complexity simply because that's the way Wolf likes it. There is literally nothing at all complex about what Wolf gives people and what he keeps to himself. To others, Wolf comes off as a reserved individual with a quiet personality to aid that. Secretive to a core, not many people find themselves on the other side of the walls Wolf tends to keep up. There's an intensely good reason they're even up in the first place and a reason why Wolf tends to stand aloof and on guard most of the time. It's never easy to find solitude in the profession he's chosen for himself. Regardless, beneath the layers of fluff, Wolf comes off as less the stiff people see him as and more the free spirit he actually is. Nothing he does is ever done without 200% of his every being; Wolf tends to find purpose easily and excuses even easier. With a personality like his, it's a wonder Wolf doesn't shed the put upon quietness of his social persona and actually act as social as he actually is. Wolf loves people, he just doesn't trust them easily. It takes a great determination to get through to the man inside, but Wolf rewards those people with an amazing charm and a magnetic amicability. Though Wolf tends to err on the more cautious side with living, breathing people, he refuses to do so in his own day-to-day activities. He takes things with a nonchalance that would more than likely get an ordinary man killed. With as many excuses sliding off that witty tongue of his, Wolf finds himself at the tail end of hazardous situation more often than not. The man's just prone to danger and the rush of adrenaline to take his mind off the thoughts that often plague his head. As crazy as he is sometimes, it's a wonder how he survives for more than an hour. Appearance With 180 lbs under his belt and a solid length of 5'10", Wolf Ezra is more a man of appearances than he is of practicality. But, no man without a mind on his health and his physicality ever survives through half the crap Wolf does without mortally wounding himself. As such, Wolf boasts a rather athletic physique that's more equipped to handle the pain and pressure of what he does on a daily basis than for strength or speed. With a mind like his, he doesn't really need either, but it helps to be healthy and fit than it does dying of cholesterol related heart problems. There's often a pep in his step and a confidence that he tends to exude in the way he moves, though it's more of a shared confidence than it is pomp arrogance. As well, the tenor of his voice is often softer, when it's not being used to manipulate himself around doing certain things, then it gets higher, than the average male and has a slight Boston lilt to it. Sharp features give Wolf's already witty personality a cheekiness to his expression that denotes more sarcasm than he ever really implies. There's often a smugness to the simper he gives and with expressive eyebrows, there's more of that cleverness that he never fully intends to commit to—if only not to aggravate anyone he's willing to keep around him for more than an hour's time. Regardless, when Wolf allows himself to be more open, his expressions often soften and lose their bite—or rather, their bark. He prefers the latter, as it takes quite a bit of time to keep that persona up. People don't really realize that the acidity to his appearance acts as more of a deterrent and guard than it is him just acting cheeky for the sake of it. Biography Raised to two Jewish parents, Wolf's life started out quite simple, at first. Telepathy tended to act very subtle, especially for a child that can't yet speak words or form coherent thoughts. However, once those first cognitive senses formed, Wolf shocked many of his elementary school teachers half to death. Of course, luckily for them, he didn't exactly understand many of their thoughts to begin with. Not knowing what to do with this information, both parents, tight on money, took advantage of young Wolf's gifts. They began a small business within the confines of their own home, allowing people to come in to see the boy who could read thoughts. This, though technically abuse, allowed Wolf an outlet to use and train his powers until they grew ever stronger. Of course, Wolf never truly realized what his parents did to him until much later in his adolescence, when he himself could fully utilize his own powers. They weren't necessarily bad people, just a couple down on their luck with an opportunity practically spitting in their face. It was easy for Wolf to forgive them, but that never meant forgetting what they'd done when the chance arose. They took an easy way out and Wolf never really benefited from it like a child should. In essence, they took his childhood from him, in exchange for a chance at honing his powers. Many psychics come and go, though, and not many people realized what Wolf was until he was long, long gone. Until then, Wolf took advantage of his own situation and made use of his powers in the only way he was taught; he made money. With his own powers growing by the day, it was a wonder Wolf never got any further than where he currently is. Of course, many people find themselves at impasses on daily bases and it was inevitable that Wolf find his. An unfortunate side effect of having mentally based powers was that, the more he grew, the more Wolf allowed his mind to the people surrounding him. The more he grew, the larger that radius was until it eventually encompassed entire cities. His first break down was a mystery and nearly got him killed during an act. The second one arose further suspicions and Wolf eventually learned to place his own mental barriers to shut out the multitude of voices. At first, it took quite a bit of energy from Wolf to keep those barriers in place, but eventually, the become second nature and a subconscious part of Wolf's being. It became harder to take them down than to keep them up. With powers that stretch as far as Wolf's, having a vast intelligence came as a second thought. Unfortunately, for Wolf, this made various interesting things dull almost immediately after they'd been explored. It took a lot to please Wolf and is the main reason he often has to do a numerous amount of rather harmful things in order to keep himself entertained. College honestly came and went for Wolf and with that, he continued his career. No doubt the moment he gained fame and recognition did he drop the acts completely to pursue other endeavors. Of course, a man needs money, and Wolf often came back to preform every once in awhile, if not to keep the fame he garnered. That garnered him undue attention, however, and often forced Wolf into a more reclusive nature than he usually allowed himself. As non-committal as he tended to be, it wasn't until the government began their routing out of individuals did Wolf finally seek to aid the superhumans he'd soon call brethren. Though, his aid came early, he never fully committed to the idea. The safety of the months in advance felt nice, but there didn't seem to be anything quite affecting his safety. It wasn't until the United States mandated their new law did Wolf feel real gratitude for the offer of escape months prior. He took to offering more than what he'd previously given in order to further assist the esteemed billionaire who'd given him sanctuary. Power — Psionic Manipulation — The full spectrum of mind oriented powers, from the basest form of telepathy to full on telekinetic havoc. Wolf reaches a high tier within the superhuman community, having been gifted with his powers since birth. A psychic child under the guise of a carnival Houdini, Wolf escaped many forms of persecution purely from utter fame. Many only ever know the simplest expressions of his powers, as he tends to be a very reserved and kept man. However, that doesn't mean Wolf never has the chance to demonstrate his full potential, as there are often times which require a little bit of force. This often comes in the form of blue waves of psionic energy that exudes from his body (mainly the palms of his hands). They consist of pure psychic energy and can take on various aspects of energy itself. — Eldritch Sorcery/Occultism — Educated in the mysteries of the occult, Wolf knows a numerous amount of spells and magics, of which he has no real clue is actually derived from his own mind. Using the knowledge gained from various books, Wolf applies them via his psionic abilities in order to use them. These particular types of magic range on the weirder, almost darker side. From summoning a bout of tendrils from the ether to magically sealing an individual's own powers. They work in ways that only Wolf can ever really conceive, though never all powerful in terms of summoning a world eating abomination. They're simple things, like sealing an individual's mouth shut or creating portals from one area to the next, though how difficult they are to preform directly correlate with how much energy it takes from Wolf. Things such as healing wounds take a moderate amount of energy, simple spells like eldritch bolts of energy take a small amount of energy, and opening a portal from one end of the world to the other take vast amounts of Wolf's stamina. Skills — High Intelligence — Having been born with mind related powers such as his, it's only ever natural to have a vast intellect. Wolf contains one of the leading minds in the world, though he doesn't much put it to as good of use as he could. That could possibly be a personal vendetta against the human race or he's just using an excuse not to have to work himself into the grave. He takes much more personal pleasure in aiding people in various other ways and using his own intelligence for himself. It also helps that not many people realize that Wolf is a genius hiding behind the mask of a royal fool. — Alright, You Little Shit, I've Got a Ph.D and Absolutely No Time For Your Existential Hipster Teen Crisis Bullshit. Get Out of My Face — Not many people know this, but Wolf studied for years at Yale for business and law, only to change his mind at the last minute to take up philosophy and psychology as his majors. He finished those degrees in record time and moved on with his life. They're pretty much just some pieces of paper verifying that he's licensed to help people with their mental issues and prescribe them medicine if they so choose. And, he likes the title doctor and makes people use it on occasion. What's a Ph.D for if not to be referred to as a doctor? Literally, this was only gained for the fact that he got bored one day and decided, "Why the hell not?" Regardless of that fact, if anyone ever needs a licensed therapist, then Wolf is your man. He may have done it for the title, but that doesn't mean he can't do the job. — Extremely Quick Learner — Picking things up and mastering them come as second hand to Wolf Ezra. It's pretty simple, really; learning something new takes a few hours for him to get a moderate hang of. Mastering it, depending on the difficulty, can take up to a few weeks to just a little over a year. Of course, that doesn't ever mean that Wolf every uses this for any means other than his personal entertainment. — Resolute Calm — Even without his powers, Wolf holds the ability to remain cool and collected in even the most stressful of environments. It takes a lot to break Wolf without the powers tacked on; it takes a formidable mind to do so with the mental barriers he's got in place. — Ever the Tactician — No one loves strategy more than Wolf—not that he'd admit to reading Sun Tzu's Art of War in one sitting. Who does that? Pfft. Not him. Regardless, Wolf holds a keen mind for tactics and often loves applying it to figurative situations. Whether or not they battle oriented doesn't really matter to him. Nothing entertains him more than seeing a plan go off without any hiccups. Weaknesses — Mind Break — There's nothing worse than overloading oneself with the thoughts of a million people. There's a reason why Wolf keeps to himself. There are an innumerable amount of mental barriers in place to stop the leak from seeping into his own mind and causing him temporary insanity. Once those fall, he's practically incapable of even the smallest form of thought that isn't subconscious. — Haunted — Knowing the things he knows and seeing the things he's seen, there's really no one more troubled by his own mind than Wolf himself. There are quite a few things that keep Wolf from achieving a meaningful amount of rest. The horrors that travel through his mind on a daily basis from the effects of delving far too deep into the occult could keep a man like Wolf awake for days. And sometimes he is. — Dare Devil — There's not a bone in Wolf's body that isn't absolutely, terribly prone to doing things that could potentially kill him. Really, there's nothing he wouldn't do and it takes a really big reason to even give the man pause.
