Sorami just smiled a bit. "Good, you're both here. That will save me alot of time". The woman, whose absence of ill intentions could easily be understood by her friendly expression and voice, reached into her pocket and removed a letter. "As your friend may have guessed, I am not from this town, let alone this world. I have come here with a message for you from his majesty, King Mickey". She now handed the letter to Joshua. The envelope itself looked like it was indeed a royal letter, with gold embroidery around the edges and a seal upon the envelope that kept it shut. The seal itself was red and looked like one larger circle with two other smaller circles atop it. It almost looked like it was made to represent the head of a mouse or something along those lines. After giving them the letter, Sorami would wait for them to read it so that she could answer any questions they had, hoping that they would accept the request, but she would prefectly understand if they did not.
Dear Joshua Tamashii and Amaya Yashia, You may not be aware, but there are other worlds out there. There are as many worlds as there are stars in the sky, the amount being something that no one person could ever count. A long time ago, the worlds were plagued by a threat known as the Heartless, creatures that come from the darkness in peoples hearts. While the major threats of these creatures has been brought down, they still plague worlds to this day. As such, to protect the worlds, a system called the World Defense System, or WDS, was created about fifty years ago. It is a system meant to defeat the Heartless that plagues the worlds and help us monitor them, but its reach was limited. Now though it is expanding its reach to many different worlds, your world being one of them that entered its protection about two years ago. The purpose of this letter is that I need your help. The WDS also has another function. To find wielders of a weapon known as a Keyblade, a special weapon that is the best means of permanently subduing the Heartless, since when defeated through any other means they will just appear elsewhere at a later date. When the system reached your world, it detected that the two of you were indeed Keyblade wielders. What I need your help for is for investigating a strange anomaly that was spotted on one world. Aside from the Heartless, the WDS is meant to monitor for other threats as well and recently it picked up a strange signature that we have never seen before and unfortunately we lack the manpower to investigate it at the moment, since continuously working to expand the range of the WDS to protect other worlds from the Heartless has taken all we have. As such, I wish to ask for your help in investigating the world that the strange signature was spotted in. If you do not wish to do so, then you are free to say no. We are not forcing you by any stretch of the imagination. Of course, you and Amaya will not be alone in this matter, as we are asking a few other Keybladers we have recently spotted for help in this matter, since a team is better suited for this situation then just one or two people alone. Again, you do not have to accept our request, so whatever your response is, please give it to the person who delivered the letter to you. With best regards, King Mickey
-- Mickey caught the rabbit when Oz fell forward, a bit suddenly surprised at how quickly Oz stood alert when he gained a bit more of an awareness of what was going on. "Easy there old friend". Mickey gave Oz a small smile, just glad to see that the rabbit was doing alright, looking as though he has nearly made a full recovery. Oz's question though made Mickey's smile disappear right from his face, a sheepish scratching of the back of his head being his momentary response. "We did win, but... we nearly lost you". It was clear that Mickey, despite his usual air of confidence, was having a hard time saying what needed to be said. This wasn't exactly easy news to relay. "The battle with Maleficent left you heavily wounded by her powerful magic, leaving you with cursed wounds that were nearly impossible to heal. As such..." he pointed to the pod behind him, "we had to give you an alternative treatment". The King paused there, gently placing a hand on Oz's shoulder, an apologetic expression on his face. "I am sorry... old friend. While your wounds were indeed fully healed, the treatment left you asleep for hundreds of years, as your cursed wounds were that great". Pangs of regret were present upon the King's face. He always felt as though he could have done more to help Oz, and thus always secretly took upon himself some of the blame for why Oz had to continuously sleep. While Mickey believed that Oz would definitely awaken one day, the King glad that the day had finally come, he wished that it hadn't taken so long. He decided to wait in telling Oz his request for his help, since he figured the rabbit could still use some rest, and possibly time to process the news that he had just been given.
