Before Crystal could even lay a finger on the doorknob, she felt the ground move beneath her; the sudden motion causing her to slightly lose her balance. "Was that an earthquake?" She asked as she turned around to look at the both of them. The look on their faces answered her question. No. "Crystal. I know its hard to believe, but just listen. Ash and I aren't doing any kind of magicians." This time, it was the guy named Curtis speaking to her; the nicer one between the two -- obviously. Crystal turned around, not wanting to hear anymore of this madness. She turned the doorknob and was ready to get out of there, but the door wouldn't budge. She slammed the door with her palm out of frustration. Looks like she didn't have a choice but to confront the situation instead of running from it. Crystal turned around and slowly met his gaze. "Ash is convinced that you can do things like we can. Its fine if you can't, heaven knows that Ash has been wrong before, but we now have a problem. You now know what we do. If you are like us then I feel like its common courtesy that you share with us. If you aren't then that's fine too, however either way you aren't leaving until I feel like our secret is safe." Crystal stayed silent for almost a full minute, mentally debating with herself about the right thing she should do in this situation. A sigh escaped her lips, and she shrugged before leaning against the door. "This is nonsense. I never asked either of you to share your lovely secrets with me -- though I appreciate it. It's pretty cool." She said casually while making hand gestures. "But whether I have abilities like you or not, it is my choice if I should share it with you. Just like you made a choice to share yours." Crystal stood up straight and crossed her arms, trying her best not to glare at him. "Your secret is safe with me. If I break my word, you can easily hurt me, right? So why worry?" She asked him seriously without breaking eye contact. "Now I have a job to get back to. I'd appreciate it if you let me leave." This time, she looked at Ash. Knowing that if anyone was going to be stubborn about this, it would be him. As calm and collected Crystal may have looked on the outside, deep inside, she had so many unanswered questions. Just who were they? For the first time in four years, she finally met others like her. She didn't know how to feel. Was she supposed to be happy or worried? Now she was certain that there were more like them out there. Just how many of them existed? So many thoughts and questions crossed her mind. She was starting feel uneasy about the whole thing. All of it was just too much to process in on night. A bad one, might she add. She needed at least a week or two to think about the whole thing. Or better, escape it. Crystal was snapped out of her trance when she noticed a thin layer of fog starting to surround them. The temperature had drastically dropped, and a thin sheet of ice started to cover her palms beneath her leather gloves. Her eyes widened a little, and her breathing started to pick up the pace. She did her best to look calm and normal in front of the two, making sure she didn't give anything away. No, this can't be happening right now. Breathe. She took a deep breath and concentrated. The dry ice that covered her palms slowly went back to its gaseous form; the fog escaping from the openings of her gloves. She quickly turned around to hide them. She cleared her throat and reached for the doorknob, "I really have to go. Please." She told them with a serious tone in her voice -- and maybe a hint of desperation. Her hand started to fidget, and her heart started to beat rapidly. She swallowed down a lump in her throat, doing her best to calm herself. The room got colder as seconds passed.
