He's ridiculously multi-talented and energetic, and would be capable of doing several different part-time jobs per day if that many were actually available. He can eat absurd amounts of junk food without gaining weight or getting full, but is also somehow sustained for days by even the smallest portion of food.

Power:
Using an incredibly gravitational force, Rick can pull in and consume anything around him, sucking whatever gets caught into a void. Though uncontrollably, he can also belch up a destructive blast of energy. However, eating too much will cause him to become extremely euphoric to the point of seemingly becoming drunk. He can still technically eat more while he's "full", but he really won't feel like doing it. The amount he can eat increases slightly whenever he hits the limit.

Trigger Event:
On his way home for dinner, a mutant cape suddenly burst out of a store, attacking the people who approached as two others were robbing it. As he hadn't eaten a proper meal in at least two weeks, Rick was absolutely ravenous and thought that the mutant looked surprisingly similar to a giant chicken. Responding to a tugging feeling in his gut, Rick opened his mouth and pulled him in, a surprisingly warm feeling coming over him afterwards. As no one--including Rick himself--was actually sure as to where the cape suddenly disappeared to, Rick left the scene unquestioned and satisfied, while the remaining thieves were arrested.

History:
Rick was born to a relatively wealthy family, his parents the owners of a small, but surprisingly successful furniture company. He was raised to be enthusiastic about life, like them, so that he could find interest in everything and find something great for himself. Once he hit the age of 14, Rick set out on his own. His parents, simultaneously the nicest and most irresponsible parents ever, supported his adventure completely. He spent months wandering, taking up odd jobs for a day or two before moving on, and eventually reached Visalia. It was an interesting place: the people there could do cool things, and something was always going on.

Of course, having no money left aside from what he worked for(A.K.A. about $12), he spent a while on the streets trying to find a decent job. Figuring that the best way to save money was by eating cheap foods, Rick stretched about two bags of beef jerky over several weeks. This, despite being the main cause for his short height, somehow got him to awaken his ability. This worked much better, so he decided to use it to stop evildoers(not always consuming them) and sate his hunger until he finally secured a job as an accountant. Despite saying that he'd only be using his newfound power for that time, Rick realized that he liked helping people with it and continued on.
