1 Lament Corvette 2 Doom Gliders

The Lament Class Corvette is a small capital ship approximately 140 meters long, armed with twenty gauss cannons and is designed for use against starfighters, bombers, and small enemy vessels. Most notably, powerful sensor and computer systems enable their guns to engage rapidly with swarms of small, swift targets. In addition, powerful engines give these ships the speed and manoeuvrability to engage directly with starfighters, and the systems throughout the hull are also versatile and sophisticated, being able to redirect energy from the quantum shields to give more firepower to the weapons systems. Although the Lament Class Corvette primarily fills an anti-fighter and anti-bomber role, they are capable of being used against other small enemy capital ships due to the strength of their Gauss Cannons, though they would not have the power to blast their way through larger enemy capital ships. The Lament Class Corvette also fills the role of a patrol vessel and an escort craft rather than a front line combat vessel. Individual captains should still watch out for it or risk severe damage or destruction to their vessels, as it is more powerful than it appears for it's size. If they chose to enter the system, they would find that outbound communication signals were being scrambled and would receive the same message again, followed by a single word in an alien language, spoken in a cold and electronic voice.
