~Alexis Sinclair~
"H-hey Alexis. How are you doing? Euh... Sorry if I insulted you earlier, I didn't mean to. You mind if I come and join you with dinner?" ..yep, life hated her. It's official. At first, she was gonna play it cool. No way she could be coming to talk to her, right? Nah, she was just going to walk by on her way to get dinner. Those hopes were quickly dashed when she started talking. By the time Anastasia had even got halfway through her sentence, Alexis was already trying to come up with an excuse, any excuse to get out of this situation without seeming like a total jerk. Unfortunately for her, she was failing. Horribly, failing. "I-insulted? I wasn in- I just, uh, well, I uh-you, uh j-just caught me at a bad time!" She stuttered out, a bit too forcefully. Well, no, she wasn't insulted. Did she come off like she was upset with Anastasia? Well damn it. Strike one for her. She was already making a fool of herself then. Well, she should say something here to try and appear friendly. First of all, apologize for being a jerk earlier. Should be easy. Right? Calm, just stay calm and you got this. "J-just-Whatever," She scoffed, stuffing her hands inside of her jacket pockets, turning her head to focus on something other than the girl standing in front of her. With her initial shock over with, it was easy enough to go back to her normal behavior. "Don't really care one way or the other. I was gonna sit with kitty, but I've lost her. So yeah, sit if you want. I don't care." With that, she walked off to get herself some food, not caring if Anastasia followed her or not. ...no, not easy. Goddamn it. She was horrible at this. She inwardly cringed, the scowl on her face making the other students give her a bit of room as she got what she came for. Glorious food. Thankfully, they were some of the first ones here so they didn't have to wait long, and before she knew it, she was sitting down with a plate of food in front of her. Well, at least it looked better than that...stuff that passed for food that the lab coats fed her. ...she hoped Anastasia sat elsewhere.
~Meredith Hillard~
Meredith was busy stuffing her face with anything she could get her mits on. She barely registered the door opening and another teacher walking in. Obviously, she wasn't too concerned with being forced out. Either because she didn't think he would, or didn't think he actually could. Well, not that she'd get violent over a little food. Sneaking out at night was always easy enough to do. Not that she did that too often, no. She had a stash of food in her room for emergencies. "So, I do like the idea, but I gotta ask Ms. Hillard- we're about to be served food. Why now of all times?" Good question, for some simple minded crocodile man. If he was smart, he might have actually come up with an answer himself. Oh well, time for explanations. After swallowing a rather large piece of uncooked meat whole, she gave Henry an all too friendly smile as she turned her head slightly to face him. "What do you say we adjourn. Join me for dinner? I always get huge portions. Agent Henry Olin, staff self defense instructor and guidance councilor. Veteran Elite- at your service." ...well, she would like to have him for dinner. That was something she was pretty sure she'd like. He looked tasty. ...had she ever eaten crocodile before? There was one time, she though but it must have been a loooong time ago. Meh. Oh well. Didn't matter. "We~ell," She hummed. "Think about it, lizard brain. More often than not, I can't get in here because well, I'd eat everything and then that'd make a few people quite upset! So normally, I'm not allowed anywhere near here." She spoke through a full mouth, causing some of her words to be slightly distorted as she swallowed. "After the incident today though, they're more focused on the students! So it was easy getting in!" She giggled, apparently quite happy at her accomplishment. "Makes sense if you care to think about it~" Despite her somewhat mean sounding demeanor, Meredith wasn't meaning to be insulting or mean. Just sometimes, it was hard for her to understand humans since she tended to think things through logically rather than emotionally. A little known fact to most, since she was often quite...out there in her mannerisms. To her, it was rather obvious and explaining it to someone seemed rather trivial and a waste of energy. "But seems I've been caught." She sighed, playing with a lose strand of hair. "Oh well," started giving him a playful grin. "My butt is staying here. What ya gonna do about it, Lizard boy?~" She continued, pretty much daring him to remove her from the premises.
