Since only the pain receptors in his skin were fried, Arthur can still feel internal pain when hit by something which generated a concussive pulse, and could be knocked out by a shockwave due to the concussive pressure on his internal organs. He wouldn't be able to feel heat or impact blows however, unless someone managed to break a bone with sheer brute force.
