I'll be doing a Character count soon, if we're still bellow 20 (is is most likely), the answer is yes go check the main thread and state your  interest. If we're open you'll be on the queue. I bet we have between 10 and 14 CS now so your space is practically granted, just give me one day to recheck everything, like the quote [@TheWindel] placed said.
