Just as his vision began to blur, the whoosh of a backdraft accented the billowing flames that washed around the two. The guard's grip gave as he broke composure, screaming and stumbling a few steps before slipping and bashing his face in on a hunk of concrete. Leaving the man to burn, Luciel coughed, holding himself up on the wall. Looking over his shoulder at the inferno, he lifted a hand to shield his eyes, hoping the Hex was collected enough to see that he wasn't a threat. "Are you okay?" He joked, trying to get a view of the outside to check for potentially more guards. His clothes were singed around the hems and lace, writhing as though they were alive and with a mind of their own. Softly, a black mist washed out from the damaged sections which crumpled and fell off, letting the new growth repair his attire and restore its brilliance. "I am sorry I vahz not as fast I could haf been" he apologized in a calming tone, trying to talk Ace down from her state as he immediately recognized her as a Hex.
