Malik Tobias Wright
[@Mr Allen J][@ToadRopes]
The Fiends bladed arm raised high as Malik gave one last push and shoved his niece out of the way. Unable to do anything other then turn around and watch the blade come down on him, he felt his heart ram against his chest as he watched the woman grin, 'Shit! Shit! Shit!' Considering himself minced meat, a hard crack to the side of the Fiends head threw her body to the side and into the street with a heavy thump. Staring at the woman's crushed head in disbelief, a soft voice pulled his attention up as he made eye contact a teenage girl, "... Hi." Swallowing hard, and making sure his body wasn't really in pieces, Malik finally responded with a shaky voice, "Th-thanks." If she hadn't stepped in just in time, he knew his time would have been--literally--cut short. Glass fell from his back and cracked beneath his shoes as he slowly stood. With the additional cuts on his back, and a few in his legs, his body trembled as his mind replayed the near death experience over and over in his head. Kiara was already standing behind him. Still crying, small cuts covered her legs and hands from the glass on the ground as well. She was in worse shape then him though, and once she caught sight of the Fiends limp body her stomach flipped. As his niece turned and puked on the street, Malik grimaced in disgust before taking her hair into his hands, "Let it all out, it's okay." This was bound to happen. Bodies, blood, and scattered items littered the street around them. The sight of it made Malik's skin crawl, but he knew it must have been worse for his Kiara. Everyone had been taken by surprise, even the police and NEST agents that were stationed around the festival. If the Fiends were looking for a massacre then they sure as hell got one. Once Kiara was finished emptying her stomach, Malik took the last of the napkins in his pocket and cleaned her face. Eyes red and puffy, a large frown was pulled down her face as she spoke through small hiccups, "I wanna' go home.." Answering her pleas by lifting her into his arms, Malik rubbed her back in a more or less useless attempt to comfort her, "I know. We're going now." This was way too much for her, and Malik needed to get her to a hospital now. Glancing up at Jen and Ratchet, he gave a small nod before introducing himself, "Name's Malik, this is Kiara." Grip tightening around his niece, another girl, the same one who had passed him on rollerskates earlier, raced across the street and up to Jennifer. "Jennifer, I'm so sorry, I should've checked behind me more often and not gone so fast," As she apologized, Malik began to take slow steps back, his eyes glancing down the street towards the enterance of the festival, "I don't think we can stay here very long," Malik nodded in agreement as he already began to head down the sidewalk, "She's right. Let's get going before any more of those things catch up with us."
