Evan and Everett sat side by side on the park bench. They had both decided that they didn't want to open their packages, the one they knew the small silver chain connected to the clear heart was in, until two months after their seventeenth birthday. The small silver boxes sat in between them as they stared at them. "At the same time?" Everett looked at his brother, his hand resting on his box. "Now." Evan grabbed his box and began to lift the lid off of it. "Mines purple. It's just purple." He rolled his eyes slightly. "Out of all the colors I get purple." "You're complaining about purple?" Everett held his necklace up for his twin to see. "Oh God, that's great!" Evan was laughing. "You got pink!" A few people turned staring at the boys, giving disapproving looks. The both stood up in unison, throwing away the boxes to their necklaces as they slid them around their necks and began on their way home.
