Curtis sat in the cafe, giddy with what him and Ash had just discovered. He sat in his booth looking back out into the crowd. There could easily be more of them out there. People who were given these gifts. Maybe they could find more, and find out exactly what caused them to gain these powers. Curtis noticed two more people enter the cafe. First a boy named Carson, Curtis recognized him from school and had heard about the party scene that seemed to revolve around the boy. The next person to enter was a blonde-headed girl. Curtis knew her from school, they were both seniors if he recalled correctly, he just couldn't place her name. Curtis watched as Carson eyed him and the girl went to order her drink, all the while fog continued to bellow out from under the back room. What the hell is going on in there. People are going to start noticing this. He nervously glanced back to the others in the cafe. However it was too late. The blonde headed girl pointed out the fog to others, and now everyone was looking at it. Before Curtis could go back to Crystal and Ash and tell them to knock off whatever the hell it was they were doing Carson spoke up. "Hey there, your name is Rose, right? I think I've seen you around." said easily before he glanced to the boy, he was almost positive he was named Curt or oh, Curtis. "Small town! You're Curtis. I know of you, kind of, vaguely but I can't say anyone knows me any better. Hey, I'm Carson Graye. Can't be too sure if I share a class with either of you but it's cool to see you either way. Get to see enough of our classmates though with this place being so tiny and all. Kind of just a matter of luck on who you run into. I wonder what's going on back there with the um, y'know fog, seems kind of funky. Gotta be a good reason, like full blown freezer meltdown or something." a soft laugh, a closer to his endless stream of words. So the girl's name was Rose. Curtis took a quick mental note of that before turning his attention towards Carson. "Hey Carson! Yeah I don't know about that back room, I guess the freezer is out of whack. I'm here all the time and this is the first time I've seen this happen. I hope they get it fixed, I need my iced lattes! How's life been treating you?" Curtis was glad to have some company, but in the back of the mind he was still thinking about Ash and Crystal.
