"So what job did you get, Nerd?"

The woman who approached was Kat. She was notorious for leading a band of delinquents called the 'Rattlesnakes'. From time to time Matthew and his friends would joke and call them the 'Rattlesnacks', but of course not to their faces. It was not that Matthew was afraid of retaliation for making a joke of them, it was just that it would be unnecessary fighting if he said it to their face. For most of his time as a Vault Dweller, Matthew had been able to steer clear of the Rattlesnakes and their cohorts. Every once in awhile he would be forced to interact with one, but it was not often. But apparently the ring leader decided it would be absolutely imperative to speak with him after class. Matthew let out a sigh and prepared to speak. Suddenly another girl appeared but she accidentally bumped into Kat. [i]Oh great[/i], Matthew thought. He figured it would be best for him to speak up before Kat could react.

"Simple accident. Coulda' happened to anyone. Mary, right? I'm sure that Kat here wasn't too offended by your little mistake" Matthew smiled to try and make it seem like everything was okay. "As for your question Kat. I have not checked my results yet. They're at home. But I'm sure it won't be as cool as your new job as a..." he trailed for a second. "What did you get?"
