Her eyes are Amber in colour very rare before the war and now it is practically unheard of. Her skin is very white in colour almost porcelain. Ruth is not very well built when in comes to muscle in fact she is very weak which is probably the main reason that she didn't get assigned to security. Her hair is naturally blonde in colour when she hasn't dyed it.

Biography: Ruth was born to some of the lowest of the low in the vault as her parents could only do very simple work. Her mother was a seamstress and her farther worked as a smith making cogs and pipes. Ruth's family has always had very low class jobs but they are proud and understand that someone has to do it. Here parents were always tired but they still found time for their precious daughter even though they were always tired. When her parents weren't around Ruth would always hang out  with her three older brothers who she always looked up to. However when she was around them she had to dress like them as her brothers said it stopped her giving them icky girl diseases. In fact one day when her parents came home they found her brothers had cut her lovely shoulder length hair and had made it short and spiky on top with a buzz cut on the side. Let's just say her mother went ballistic and her father just laughed his ass off.

In her teenage years Ruth was a very much independent as her brothers had all moved on had their own jobs. Two worked maintenance but one of them had made a big leap in terms of position as he was assigned to the cafeteria as a cook. Her parents were very proud of their little cook as they called him. Ruth however was a bit of a disappointment as she was a trouble maker as she liked exploring the vault epically areas she shouldn't be in. She never caused damage to any of the equipment in these areas so she always got away lightly. 

It wasn't until Ruth almost ended up electrocuted that her parents asked her why she was doing all these things Ruth just responded that she wanted to have fun now before she ended up doing some job for nobody scum like all her family members. That's when her parents told her about one of her long dead ancestors who used to be part of a militia that tried to rebuild a life in the wastelands. When the Vault 24 opened up her ancestor heard rumours about it and set off with a large group of refs to find it. He managed to lead the group safely to Vault 24 he had been mauled by creatures and irradiated when he went ahead to scout a path though the radiation. He died ten years after they had reached the vault and was much beloved by refs he had led however he was branded crazy and senile by the population of Vault 24. Ruth didn't believe their story until they gave her his old helmet and note book. She was fascinated by the stories in the book and all the diagrams filled with all sorts of information about the wastelands and how to survive. Ruth from then on kept the book and helmet with her to remind her of what a ref can do.
