Some have been known to look humanoid, others resembling animals. The individual Kith is an unpleasant sight. A four legged fleshy creature with a maw of teeth and tendrils coming from its back this abomination looks as if someone took a dog, attached it to a squid, forced more teeth into its mouth while breaking its bones and setting it on fire. The sounds it makes are shrill shrieks and in some cases have been powerful enough to incapacitate its prey.

When bound, the normal velelu are nearly unkillable. When they are 'killed' the velelu's black blood flows back to it's body and heals it just enough to keep it alive. How often they get up is determined by the strength of the Mindflayer.
