Alice sighed in relief. "Thanks, Luke, you're a lifesaver," she said to him, giving him a smile. To Adelisa and Adam she said, "You guys deserved our high praises, so no need to thank me," She blushed a little at Adam's kindness though. She gave Adelisa one more hug goodbye and looked at Adam one last time. She debated whether to hug him or not, but decided against it. That would be weird, wouldn't it? "See you guys at the party!" she called out as she left the barn. She walked over to Luke's Chrysler Sebring and waited for him to unlock the door. "So, I live on Newman St. Do you know how to get there?" she asked, ready to offer directions if he didn't know. She had just left, but she was already thinking about Adam again and the party. Lorelei was right that she needed something cute to wear. She didn't own anything cute though and the only dress she had was the one she wears all the time at her family reunions when she is expected to dress "more formally". There was also the question of any of it mattered. She forgot to check Adam's necklace to see if it matched her own. What if they weren't matched up? The thought of that alone was heartbreaking.
