So, before the wipe of Oldguild, I moderated a pokemon/fallout crossover. It died because too many people had to drop, and we couldn't pull in any more. Just want to throw the idea out there before I dedicate anything to it. If you have questions or suggestions, make them now, input would be greatly appreciated. I want this to be a team effort, not you guys just doing a hop-skip-jump through a pre-destined path. I will be playing the part of the 'Wasteland', or some of the enemies/elements you may encounter, but I might be persuaded to let someone in the roleplay run an 'event' if they'd like, so long as is doesn't give the character(s) too high a boost. We can create the lore and history together. Now, a question for all those interested; Would you rather I set this up in DC or Nevada? I don't have the time to set up a whole new region for this, so I'm going to modify the story of either Fallout 3 (and name it Fallout P) or New Vegas (clever rename pending).
The idea was that mutated Pokemon have replaced the normal mutated creatures. Bloatflies are now Beedril, Rapid dogs are now dog pokemon (With elemental attacks and such, watch out!) Yao Guai are Ursarang, Mirelurks are Crabby/Corphish/Crustle depending on the environment, with kings being their evolved forms. Supermutants and Centuars are replaced by heavily deformed pokemon-human hybrids. Deathclaws are still there, though. Not even crossovers are strong enough to kill them! There will also be 'pure' or 'normal' pokemon that haven't succumbed to mutation thanks to the fallout, but you'll mostly see the mutated versions. There is no capture mechanism, its all about trust out in the wastes. Mutated pokemon are generally too feral to tame, but you might get lucky with some of the 'pure' Pokemon. And, before anyone asks; Yes, human/pokemon hybrids will be allowed, but I'm allowing a maximum of 2 (TWO) total, and they will be HEAVILY scrutinized, and will very likely need a lot of discussing and re-balancing with me before I give them the okay. 'Pure' pokemon are rare. Hybrids that didn't come out super-mutants or centaurs are going to be much, much rarer. And yes, they can be legendary. I'm just going to scrutinize them all the more, though. You're going to have to do some very clever weaving and writing to get one past me. Weapons and modifications from both FO3 and NV are allowed. You need to start with something basic, though. We're just settlers in the wasteland, not heavily armed members of the brotherhood. That being said, your character can come from any walk of life. Outcast from the outcasts? Go for it. Retired NCR veteran? Make it convincing and you got it. An intelligent superpokè-mutant? So long as there aren't already two normal mutants, go ahead. Your walk of life is going to determine your starting equipment. The higher your 'rank', the more heavily your character will be judged. It's not fun if people start with mini guns and power armor, is it?
