Xaven knew she was putting on the smile for him, he knew it and it was okay, he'd take even a fake smile as he brought over her breakfast. "you are welcome" waiting, and sure enough when she opened his present, he grinned when she threw herself at him, wrapping his arms around her, he kissed her cheek. "your welcome, and i miss him too, i miss them both" not caring one bit when she moved around and was on his lap, it was normal, though not something that had been done in a few years. he smiled after the few minutes and she noticed. "you are alright" rubbing her back, before she was laying back on the bed, and had the breakfast tray before her. "is not" looking at the food. "the girl i know, could eat double that, and still snack" he teased, that was years and years ago, with the matabolism of a kid. when she had arrived, his mom had comment she was to skinny, and had taken it upon herself to make sure she was getting second helpings when she wanted it or not. "i can promise, that i will try with all that i can to keep whatever promise... eh.. i promise" he finally said, to much talking for one simple thing. winking at her as she ate, before hearing the promise she wanted, he nodded. "that i can" he whispered. "no candles at all tonight, dad actually laid down a law about that" giving her leg a squeeze, reassurance. right outside the door, Xaven's uncle was listening, deeming it nothing not worthy he went and left them be. Xaven reached and took a piece of bacon and munched on it. "so, my uncle is psycho" he said. "last night, came to my room right after all were asleep, and started going on and on about our family, and how some are meant for greatness and are blessed" shaking his head. "he's been hitting the good stuff apparently" smirking.
