Vanessa couldn't help but giggle when he left saying that she would be taking at least forty minutes, he knew her too well. She then took a towel and looked at her shower gel, last time her aunt came back with grocery's she had taken with her the shower gel that smelled like roses which she had been holding that one time her aunt had forced her to go with her to the stores. She smiled a little. Yes, Xaven was right, they didn't help her the right way, but they did love her, on their own way. She smiled and it felt weird, but she knew that this was her first real smile in a year. She took the shower gel and the matching shampoo and walked to the small guests bathroom and took a shower. She surrounded herself with the smell of roses and started to feel better.. A real breakfast, a good friend, this small gift from her aunt, it started to work. She closed her eyes, some tears welled up while she was under the shower and she knew that would keep happening for a while. After the shower she opened the smaller bag that her aunt had given her with her and said not to open it before it was her birthday, and now she knew why. She looked at the three sets of clothes, all perfectly matching, following the latest fashion. Her aunt even had matching shoes and sometimes bags put with them. She started to unfold the sets and looked at them, they all were looking nice and she knew for sure her aunt used some personal shopper and a picture from her niece. She looked at all the sets and then picked set four to put on. She left the bag upstairs and her dark hair curled down after she dried it. She kept it loose and decided to walk down and face the fact it was her birthday. She entered the living room and saw it wasn't decorated at all, she knew something else must have been decorated because Xaven's mother always decorated something and then she saw them sitting in the garden. She walked over and opened the glass door, and waited before she stepped outside too see all the Chinese lanterns, which btw where filled with a small light but still gave the atmosphere as if a candle was inside it. She didn't feel scared and tears welled up. ''It's.. It's beautifull'' she whispered and then walked over to Xaven's parents and Xaven which all where now standing in the garden. She hugged them both tight. ''Your welcome sweetheart'' his mother whispered, giving her a kiss on her cheek. ''Happy birthday Vanessa'' his father said and laid a hand on her shoulder. ''Thank you..'' she whispered and then looked at Xaven, she then wrapped her arms around him. ''Thank you Xaven..'' she whispered against his shirt as she hugged him tightly, joyful tears sliding over her cheeks but she felt good, she really did feel good for the first time in years.
