It was Mystique's 15th birthday and she should have had the whole day to do what she wanted. But because of a lazy sister decided to take penance of working, she had to watch the younger rowdy class of children. To Mystique, Sister Beatrice always did penance when it was her turn to watch over this particular class of children. She had asked Mother if she had noticed but all Mother said was 'Good things come to those who bear their burdens silently. Have patience, my child.' That was the end of the subject. Mother Ruth came to Mystique's room that evening with a satchel. "I think that it may be time. Please place all that you wish to have from the attic in this satchel. Take care, my child. Do great things." Mother Ruth left as silently as she came. Mystique walked out in her night gown and up to the attic. When she was there, she found that the door was unlocked. She crept inside and found a world of delights. More clothes for the younger children were in front but as she punched her way towards the back, Mystique found a lovely doll and a trunk of doll clothes. She always wanted a doll to replace the one that was broken by another girl that had left long time ago. Both went inside the satchel. As she travel further into the attic, Mystique saw nothing of interest until she saw a painting of a castle. She paused to read "Caldwell's Academy of magical Talents and Draconic Arts. Please Touch to Enter. How peculiar! " Mystique spoke as her empty hand reach for the picture. Suddenly she was falling head over heels. Down and down until she hit the ground. "Ouch... Wait a minute... that didn't hurt at all!" Thomas dusted himself off a bit not there was any on him but he was trying to get his bearings.
