Not having much of an chance to inform Pontus of what was happening back home, both due to Pontus not shutting his face and the fact Froad himself was out of breath, the Politoed slowly calmed down and processed everything as he was dragged along towards the Flaaffy's Wool. The cold wasn't as bothersome as he began thinking about the new opportunity presented to them. If Team Rhinestone was involved, there obviously was something going on around this frozen-over hell. Something big, possibly. Something big that could bring them wealth, even. 'Jus' thinkin' about the feast I could buy... Heheheh.' Froad thought to himself, his long tongue hanging out a little at the thought. Though he was quickly interrupted from his happy little dream as they approached the door to the Flaaffy's Wool. Pontus pushed the door open and entered the pub, but didn't release Froad. Causing him to bump his head against the wall of the building before pulling himself out of Pontus' grasp. "Dumbarse..." Froad groaned, making his way inside. Thankfully, it was a bit warmer inside the building. Much more so compared to their home, at least. Froad considered getting something to eat, though kept focused on current events as Pontus signaled for him to follow. Froad stumbled after his partner, noticing that Pontus wasn't lying; Ol' Shitty Scarab was at one of the tables with Rook, and their leader, Dr. Gems, seemed to not be around. Froad did however notice that with the two members of Rhinestone there was another individual; A large Tirtouga, at least large compared to any of the species he'd seen before. As the duo approached, Froad couldn't help put pick up a small part of their conversation. "So The Federation really thinks there's something out there?" Scarab questioned curiously. "Of course! Why the hell would they send you out here if they didn't believe these frozen wastes held something of value?" The Tirtouga replied, fins slamming down on the table. As the duo approached, the Tirtouga turned his attention to them, seeming to cheer up slightly as he pushed his mug towards them. "Perfect timing. I was in need of more Pechaberry Juice." He said casually, eyes narrowing as a shallow expression appeared on Pontus' face. "Eh... We're not waiters." Froad commented, calmly patting Pontus on the back so he didn't blow up at them for the comment. "Eh?" The Tirtouga looked confused. "Then who're ya?" Rook silently glared at the two, Froad nervously blinking in response as Scarab answered; "Uh, Gala? That's Team Rune. Y'know, the team that was stationed here to look after the town? I thought you were expecting them..." Gala stared at the two for a moment, noticing their rather... Lazy appearance. He thought about the name; Rune... Rune... It seemed familiar, on the tip of his tongue. "Ruin." Gala said, coming to a realization. "Hoh, hoh! Team Ruin! The team that couldn't find their way out of a Wonder Bag!" Gala's laughter was loud, as he shook his head in disbelief that the two poor sods were actually here. "What the hell do you two want?" "We want in on the expedition." Pontus replied. Gala's laughter pierced the pub once again. "Pwahahah! What makes you think we'd need or even WANT you putting your dirty hands into this job?" "Uh, Gala... They know the area a lot better than we do. The information they've gathered since coming here would be extremely helpful." Scarab commented, though Gala seemed eager to disprove any usefulness Team Rune had as he replied; "Maps?! Hoh! These idiots don't have a single map! In fact, they've hardly left this two-pint village since they got here!" "What?!" Scarab looked towards the duo, blinking. "Is that true? Froad? Pontus?!" "Well, lads-" "Because we haven't gotten a single fucking assignment since we got here!" Pontus yelled, hands slamming down on the table as he interrupted Froad. "We've been sitting around, freezing our asses off without a single job! And now The Federation is leaving us in the dark about this?! Why?!" "I'll tell you why," Gala replied, his smug tone matching his expression. "Because you're the ones who burned down Tiny Woods. YOU'RE the ones who nearly blew up Mt. Bristle." "..." "..." "..." "..." Gala pulled himself closer to Pontus, becoming a little more quiet as he continued. "You caused more trouble for The Federation than you were worth. They didn't want to carry the burden of your failures anymore, so they decided to remove you from the picture by placing you as far away as possible." "So yer' tellin' me that the reason we were put'n Glacefloe is..." Froad's round eyes widened at the thought. No, they couldn't have... "That's right! The Federation placed you in Glacefloe and retired Team Rune soon afterwards, so you wouldn't deliver your own little brand of destruction anymore." "..." Froad simply stared, unsure of what to say. They were retired? No wonder they had never seen any job offers come their way, besides the fact they didn't actually have a mailbox. At least one that'd been standing. This explained so much, but even though the facts were all there, Froad himself did not want to believe it. Retired... But they were capable! It wasn't like they were some old cods, they were in their prime! Just because of a few accidents, they weren't supplied with jobs anymore? It made sense, but it still pissed Froad off. And if Froad was pissed off, it was obvious who else would be. He slowly glanced over to Pontus.
