The cacophony of questions and inquiries; loud enough to be heard at the Acropolis, it sounded; stopped at a raise of his hand. "People of Greece, and to all the Hellenes across the world, and to those who stand resolute in the true Orthodox faith. Today we have heard news of the terrible events unfolding in our neighbour, the so-called 'Caliphate'. The world has become aware of the atrocities committed against religious minorities, in particular, the Marionites of Lebanon. This cannot be tolerated. We are commencing talks with the belligerent powers and our allies in the faith, Russia and Ethiopia. Together, we can solve these problems and free the Christian peoples of the Middle East, whether through diplomacy - or, if our hand is forced, through war. We have no desire to return to the bloodshed of the past, but our historic ties to the great city of Constantinople and the fertile land of Anatolia turns our hearts and minds ever eastwards. These lie in the hands of extremists and terrorists, but it is foretold in prophecy that one day, the Church of the Holy Wisdom, Hagia Sofia herself, will fall back into the hands of the Christians. Then, Emperor Constantine XI will arise and lead the army of Greece in battle against the infidels. We live in hope of that day." The roar of the crowd echoed across the city, cheers and shouts filling the air.
Greetings and Salutations to our colleagues, The King of the Hellenes has decreed through his right hand, Arkhigos Nikolaos Michaloliakos, that the Caliphate is a corrupt and dangerous power. We would be honoured as a people and as a nation to make common cause in defence against this threat with our brothers and sisters in the Orthodox faith. We feel that the Catholic nations have been too hasty in their sudden war, but we also demand with equal determination that the Caliphate cease its persecution of Christians within its borders. We agree with Russia's proposal to fight a distinct war for ourselves, if it must come to that, but also would like to make clear the obvious benefits of cooperation with the heretics in the short term. Greece will certainly supply them in their Mediterranean campaign. As for the name, we believe the 'Orthaxis' too greatly resembles the name of that wicked and sinful alliance between Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan, which laid all three of our great nations to waste. Perhaps one more identifiable with Ethiopia's suggestion, but referring to our common Orthodox cause. From the Hellenic Minister of Foreign Affairs, by decree of King Pavlos I

Greetings to the great powers of Europe, We will send ambassador Ioannis Aegeus to your nation, in the hope of resolving the Caliphate Crisis as peacefully as possible. He is sent on the authority of the King and the Arkhigos. From the Hellenic Minister of Foreign Affairs.
