This is the random Alphonse challenge.

We can wager, if you like, but there are no set stipulations.

Whoever posts first, is who he faces.

His sheet will be posted soon.

3 day post limit(without reason) before auto connect.

Week long absence(without reason) dictates auto-loss.

Heh, I forgot how interesting a character Adrian is, though he is quite difficult to post with because he speaks in Haiku. I'd request that anyone else wanting to enter the fight says so now, because if this becomes a race I have little chance of winning.

Why do you have to set up such weird fight structures Rilla.

Yep. I have a feeling this will be one of the better fights. You both have good characters and have great writing abilities. Plus you both are keen tactical fighters.

I'm actually just glad to be able to pull Adrian out of my documents, he's a much better character than I gave him credit for and it's a shame he only got used in one RP over two years ago.

I haven't changed his sheet at all, so it's a funny coincidence that I wrote him as a hunter with a love for nature, giving me an advantage in a forest environment.

Yeah, burning down his forest would probably piss him off. Kei's a little too versatile for a Vampire though, I'd smoosh him with Fury instead.

If you're asking if Fury can be poisoned with energy, Khan seems to think so. I refute his claims though, as energy works on a different system in his own universe (in actuality, it just works in the fashion it works in real life and physics, with energy simply changing forms, but having no actual harmful qualities in the form Fury absorbs it.)

It's easy to mix up what Fury does with a mana draining ability or some-such, which takes someone's specific type of magical energy, as opposed to the physics version, which is limited to certain rules and can't really be 'poisoned'.

Yes, however the way I see mana energy is someone's personal store of unspecified energy, which is converted into magical effects, this can be drained at the same time as the energy they use to move their muscles for example.

Only if it were a specific spell -maybe- but Fury absorbs energy in a pure form, so there isn't any conventional way to hurt him with it, you just have to avoid his touch.

Jesus Christ, Alphonse should be known as the un-shootable with that sixth sense dodge.

How good is Alphonse' Chi sensing, does he literally know every move someone is making instantaneously?

Also, it's usually not allowed in T1 to charge and use other magic abilities in that fashion, so I'm going to assume your character hasn't managed to charge any Chi abilities if he's flawlessly dodging an arrow to the back, at least that's how I would perceive it. (For the record, the average arrow shot from a recurved bow flies at around 150 mph, allowing it to cover that distance in less than a tenth of a second, which is being generous considering Adrian is a Vampire and its his bow.)

Now: Ran into a small clearing

Has Alphonse suddenly ran into another clearing that the area didn't have a few moments ago? That's awfully convenient.

No, even you mentioned he could track you with it, however he didn't know you fired a shot, that was instinct. he can track chi, and thus a person who has it, in its varying forms - but it wasn't used to track the shot.

Alphonse has a relatively fast movement speed, but as stated barely managed to dodge the arrow, had it been off-center to the left, he'd have gotten hit.

actually, in the initial T1 post Skally provided, it showed you can launch an attack and charge an ability at the same time, so long as the focus wasn't disrupted. you've shown no opposition to him using his passive and non-passive abilities(charging a shield, and slowly gleaning your abilities in chi/magic). which is no more convenient than Alphonse running headlong towards a tree just when you wanted to shoot.

that was actually my mistake, I misread your post about the clear shot.

we may need one, though I'm sure we can figure it out on your own.

I think it's more the charging an ability while also using a passive ability to detect the onset of an attack while also carrying out a -very- difficult dodge, that's a lot of multi-tasking at this tier. That would definitely fuck up your concentration at the very least.

I didn't contest your first dodge simply because it was front-on, so you had far more time to react pre-emptively, where-as your character is only really reacting to the actual shot this time.

He didn't detect the actual attack, he quite honestly only detected you stopping. we can cancel out the latest charge, if you'd like - however - to move past this.
