The tourists were crowding around it and took pictures at the Field of Mars—Champ de Mars in French. They were still around the public green space as they took more pictures of it; but, most of the tourists were queuing to enter the Tower. The queue was long enough that it takes hours until you could even enter the tower; thankfully, you can buy tickets online to avoid the long queue line. Sitting at his desk in the Golden Room, President Raphaël Fouché read some papers about the current state of the economy and other important things. They were interesting to read to Fouché as he flipped to another piece of paper, talking about how French North Africa was doing. He put down the papers and then got up from his desk. He pushed in his chair and walked away from the room as he saw the Vice President—Joseph Chevotet—walking towards him. "Fouché, have you heard?" the man said as he walked towards Raphaël. He questioned what he meant by that, but he soon realized that he meant about the bombing of Saint Peter's Square. "The bombing at Saint Peter's Square? Yeah, I have heard of that." he said as he walked along the hallway and Joseph followed him. "Well, the people are planning to gather around Notre-Dame to light up candles and offer prays to the Pope. Are you going to be there?" the Vice President said towards the President with a questionable look on his face. "I can't be there, because of the meeting with the Governors of French North Africa later in. But, you are going to it tonight and I already have a statement made for the Speaker to speak." "Oh, alright?" Joseph said with confusion, "I hope that you get done with the meeting early, so you could make it there.". He walked down the steps as Raphaël stopped to wonder why he was confused at what he said. He sighed as he turned back to go to the desk to write something to The Greater European Confederation. Raphaël was thinking of moving the meeting to tomorrow as he wanted to go to the church more than sitting in the meeting room for hours and hear the governors debate over stupid matters. And he has to write to Britain about setting up a meeting later on the week. He got started on his writing as he began with:
The bombing at Saint Peter's Square was a horrible event shaped by terrorism and the goal to make the public fear. France prays for the Pope's health tonight at Notre-Dame as the bells ring for his health. We also would like to help out with rebuilding of the square by sending our fine workers to help out in the rebuilding of Saint Peter's Square. France wishes the Pope a great recovery and he will be in our prays for weeks to come. Also, I wish to schedule a meeting in a few weeks for now. To talk about current events in the world and to sign a trade agreement between our nations. I hope that you reply soon.

It has been a while since we last spoke. How has the country been treating you? I wish to schedule a meeting next week or so as we have to renew our trade agreement and talk about matter in the world. Our countries have been loyal friends since the Third World War has started and I hope that we still can share our things with each other. As a second Cold War could begin, we need to discuss about how this Cold War will affect us and our people. We need to make such that our countries don't get into the mess, that other countries had caused in the past thirty years. I hope to God that there isn't a Fourth World War as we already had a Third World War years ago. But, we need to be prepared if that does happen. We need to open our doors for people fleeing the horrors like before. We need to have this meeting for the future of our countries. I hope that you do reply to this and I wish you well.
He stopped writing as he moved his right hand and arm around for a bit. He then grabbed the phone and dialed to the Hôtel de Marigny as he waited for someone to answer. He smiled as he heard a 'hello' coming from the phone and then he said, "Tell the governors that the meeting has been pushed to tomorrow in light of the terrorist attack. Thank you.". He hung up the phone before he could hear an answer as he began to gather the letters around and walked out of his room to go to the event at Notre-Dame tonight. --- Ceuta, French Morocco Ceuta Naval Base June 5th, 2050 Today was the usual day at the base as one of the guards watched the show on the television. Nothing was showing up on the radar as men were looking at it for any sudden changes. Tristan Dimont, a private, was looking at the radars until he heard footsteps and got up to salute. The others soon got up to salute at the captain. He saw the captain walked towards him and looked at the radar. "Has anything changed?" the captain said towards the private as he looked at the radar. The private looked at the radar and said, "Nothing so far, sir." he quickly turned to the captain, "But, the radar did spot a couple Spanish ships earlier.". The captain didn't look pleased as he looked at once more and said, "Well, keep on looking at.". He couldn't finish his words as he heard the radar going off and it had not only one dot, but a couple of dots. This made the captain, interested as he looked at the radar and said, "What could that be?". He looked at the others and said, "Alright, this is something interesting or not. But, I want you all to keep an eye on them. Got it?". "Yes sir." the others said loudly as they have begun their work on finding out more about the mysterious ships. Tristan was going for join the others until the captain called his name and he soon followed him. They didn't talk much as the captain was talking to someone else on his earpiece, but he did hear him say 'turn on the room'. What is the room? Why would he be taken there? How does the room work? His answers would be answered as he saw the captain opening the door and walked inside. The private soon followed and closed the door as he saw the dark, empty room. The captain began to speak to him, "Boy, do you know where we got our technology for?". It was a simple answer to say and he did say the answer as he said, "The British, sir.". The captain laughed as he heard the answer and said, "True. But, this kind of technology is classified to the whole world.". The captain asked another question to the scared private, "Do you know what they did during their boom?". The private also knew the answer to that and said with doubt, "Laser weaponry?". "Yes, they got lasers." said the captain as he began to walk toward the private, which he stool still without saying a single word. "But, they don't have anything.". The captain went on his earpiece and said, "Turn it on.". He walked towards the boy and said to him, "Look at what we have." A blue circle appeared out of nowhere on the ground and it began to make sounds as it popped out a hologram version of the Strait of Gilbraltar. It was almost matched with the maps on the walls back at the radar station. You could see the cliffs on the coastline of Spain and you could also see the important military ships on it as well. "We have holograms." the captain said with a grinned on his face as he walked towards it. "This is forever going to change warfare and how we plan attacks." said the captain with excitement as he looked at the ships. The private was amazed and stunned at the same time at the device, it looked amazing and perfect at the same time. Tristan looked at the captain and said with amazement as walking towards the hologram, "How is this even possible, sir?". The captain looked at the boy and said, "Thirty-eight years of planning and testing were put on making the first ever hologram display. Of course, it's a prototype and the only hologram in the whole world.". Tristan looked at the hologram as he saw a couple ship and pointed to them as he said, "Are those the ships that the radar picked up?". The captain walked towards him and said, "Yes, yes they are. We don't know what country they are from, but we do know that ships are in the Strait.". The private looked at the whole hologram display and wondered one thing, "Why did you tell me this?". The captain turned and said, "Because, I want you to help out.".
