Grant didn't leave, but he stepped back away from Adelisa's door. He didn't bother responding to Delilah, used to the animosity from her. Of course everything was his fault. It always was, in her eyes. Grant watched as Hunter banged on Adelisa's door, furious with him. "Hunter, step away from the goddamn door," he snapped. His heart was pounding with fear for her life. He watched Jareth go to the door and kneel down, slipping his fingers under the door. He couldn't shake the feeling that it should be him trying to talk her out of this, trying to help her, and he tried his best not to let the fact that she didn't want him there at all hurt him. She felt used, and she thought Grant had been one of the people to use her. His eyes closed in agitation when the door cracked open slightly. He almost moved to take a step forward, but Adelisa let out a whimper at the sight of him and he looked at her, seas of sorrow in his eyes. Jareth and Amelia were preparing to talk to her, and Grant looked at the door, wanting to help her as well. Although it seemed like the best way to help her was in his case to stay as far away as possible.
